TO in., painter and paperhanger, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, darkbrown hair, brown eyes, two front teeth missing, “Q.A.” and scar on back of left hand, heart, dagger, and “ L ” on left forearm; dressed in a navy-blue suit and light-felt hat; fond of horse-racing. Wellington. — 29th ultimo, on two warrants of commitment to Wellington Prison for three days on each in default of paying £3 (£1 10s. on each) fines and costs for two breaches of his prohibition order, Patrick Carlton McGill, age forty-two, height 5 ft. 11 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, grey hair, brown eyes, scar over left eye, on upper lip, on back of right hand, and on right knee. Wellington. —2oth November last, on warrant for theft of a bicycle (recovered), value £7 10s., the property of Leslie John Mallard (see Police Gazette, 1926, page 18), S. Pullen (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-three, height 5 ft. 9 in., good build, fair complexion and hair ; well dressed in a dark suit. The description is that of a man who sold the bicycle to a second-hand dealer.

Wellington. — l3th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for twenty-four hours in default of paying £1 17s. fine and costs for a breach of the Licensing Act, Hugh Arthur Julian, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 6£ in., marine artisan, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, leopard and horse’s head on left forearm, ship, clasped hands, and heart on right forearm. Arrears computed to 23rd May last. He is also wanted on another warrant of commitment to Dunedin Prison for three months in default of paying £l6 16s.
