PROPERTY STOLEN.

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). — ultimo, from a public telephone-box in Queen Street, the property of LULU MORRISON, Paeroa, a ladies’ Sunshine leather purse, containing £9 in money ; a cheque on the Bank of Australasia, Hamilton, in favour of complainant, signed “ A. P. Robson ” ; a small purse ; and a ladies’ white handkerchief, may have “ Lulu ” on it: total value, £ll. Identifiable except money.

Auckland. About the 19th May last, the property of ADA LOUISA EDMISTON, 152 a Remuera Road, a gold one-bar brooch, hook fastener, set with three diamonds in claw settings ; value, £IOO. Identification doubtful. *jo-f - f

Auckland. —4th ultimo, from 4 Foley Terrace, the property of OWEN ROLAND NORMAN THOMPSON, two gentlemen’s shirts, size 14£, one white and the other white with faint black stripes; total value, 14s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Jones or Bryan, age twentyfour, height 5 ft. 3 in., strong build, dark hair brushed back ; dressed in a shabby grey suit and grey-felt hat.

Auckland. June last, from a bedroom in the Royal Hotel, the property of ERNEST LOUIE SMITH, To Teko, a brown-leather suit-case, with “ E.S.” on it, containing a pocket-book, a cheque-book on the Bank of Australasia, Te Teko, a wallet, and a quantity of gentlemen’s shirts, &c. ; total value, £l7 4s. Identification doubtful.

Auckland.— llth ultimo, from a bedroom in the Thames Hotel, the property of JESSIE VANCE, Northland Road, Wellington, £lO in money. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to two women : (1) Johnston, age twenty, height 5 ft. 5 in., medium build, fresh complexion, fair, wavy bustercut hair, dressed in a navy-blue costume ; and (2) Fink, age twenty-one, height 5 ft. 4 in., slight build, pale complexion, dressed in a black dress and black-felt hat. *

Auckland. JANET BOURKE’S money stolen : The suspect, Dennis Riley, has been interviewed by the Auckland police, but no evidence resulted. He is identical with Denis Patrick Mahoney, referred to in Police Gazette, 1924, page 399. (See Police Gazette, 1925, page 396.)

Auckland. — 4th ultimo, from the Auckland Post-office, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Post and Telegraph Department), a registered package containing a gentlemen’s rolled-gold hunting Waltham watch, with “ W.W.” on shield on outside case ; and a 15 ct. gold double watch-chain, fetter-and-three-oval-curb pattern, with greenstone tiki attached : total value, £l3 12s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to W. Walker (name probably fictitious), age about thirty-seven, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, dark complexion and hair ; dressed in a dark suit and grey-felt hat. He called at the post-office and asked for any registered mail for Walker. He was given a packet containing the above property, and forged the signature “W. Walker ” to the receipt.

Auckland. — instant, from Symonds Street, the property of TREVOR HENNINGTON, 36 George Street, Ponsonby, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled Auckland Special No. 2 bicycle, No. 15884, down-turned handles, Auckland Special No. 2 tires ; value, £l3 10s. Identifiable.

Newmarket. — Ist or 2nd instant, from a washhouse at the rear of the post-office, the property of VINCENT PATRICK McGLONE, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled freewheel 22 in. bicycle, No. 54106, Bamet-Glass and Dunlop tires, “ No. 50527” painted on back mud-guard ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Stratford. — 10th or 11th ultimo, from Midhirst, the property of HAZEL KING, Midhirst, a ladies’ black-enamelled free-wheel 22 in. bicycle, No. 123316, straight handles, Dauntless tires; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Wellington. On or about the 11th ultimo, from 11 Mount Street, the property of O. H. MEAD, a canvas golf-bag with leather facings, containing the following clubs : A driver, a brassie, a mashie-iron, a mashie, a Spalding cleek, a Clements -iron, a Lock niblick, a putter, a pair of size 10 crepe-rubber-soled shoes, and two Dunlop “ Max-Fly ” golf-balls ; total value, £ll. Identifiable.

Christchurch. loth June last, from Colombo Street, the property of HENRY LANCE HAMILTON, 74 Chrvstall Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled B.S.A. fixed-wheel bicvcle, No. 5131 ; value, £l2. Identifiable.

Identifiable except money.
