Auckland. —llth June last, from a bedroom in Calderbank House, Hardinge Street, the property of JAMES WILLIAM BANKS, £1 12s. in money, and a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold ring with buckle set with a small diamond ; total value, £3 2s. Ring only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to George, age about twenty-two, height 5 ft. 8 in., cook or steward, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, grey eyes; dressed in a grey suit, brown overcoat, and grey-felt hat.

Auckland. — 14th ultimo, from the cloak-room at His Majesty’s Theatre, the property of JAMES BURNS YOUNG, 7 Clovemook Road, a gentlemen’s heavy grey-velour overcoat with satin lining ; a gold-mounted amber cigar-holder; a gold-mounted silver cigarette-holder, with “ J.8.Y.” on it; two coloured-silk handkerchiefs ; a leather wallet ; and a leather key case containing ten keys: total value, £2O. Identifiable.

New Plymouth.— 9th April last, from a railway-carriage between New Plymouth and Wellington, tho property of A. MARTIN, Tukaha Street, a ladies’ full-length black coneyseal fur coat, lined with blue brocaded silk, collar lined with fur inside and outside with two large brown buttons on left side ; value, £2B. Identifiable.

Palmerston North. —LEO BLAKE’S suit-case, &c., stolen (see Police Gazette, 1925, page 414): Most of the stolen property has been recovered by the Palmerston North police and Cameron Charles Alexander Smith, referred to in Police Gazette, 1925, page 440, and Henry Leo Sulford, referred to in Police Gazette, 1923, page 13, arrested for the offence. Suspicion is also attached to Henry Taylor, age about twentythree, height about 5 ft. 6 in., hotel cook, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair, round features ; usually dressed in a blue or grey suit; smart appearance ; quiet manner. He may he possessicyi of part of lenj>roperty.

Masterton. —29th ultimo, the property of THOMAS HENRY CHRISTOPHERS, Upper Plain, a gentlemen’s silver wristlet watch, No. 72752 A, maker “ Benson,” London, luminous dial, leather strap with nickel buckle attached ; value, £3 15s. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— l4th April last, from Colombo Street the property of HERBERT HENRY LARSEN, 94 Picton Avenue, a gentlemen’s -enamelled Bell bicycle, No. 3304, upturned handles, Dunlop tire on back wheel, Michelin tire on front wheel; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Dunedin.— l6th April last, from 168 Hanover Street, the property of PETER JOHN PETERSON, a gentlemen’s fawn rainproof overcoat, slanting pockets, brown buttons, “ Peterson ” written with indelible pencil on tab ; and a £1 note: total value, £2 10s. Identifiable, except money. Suspicion is attached to Jos Allison, age about thirty-five, height about 5 ft. 7 in., tailor, medium-build, dark complexion and hair; dirty appearance.
