PERSONS WANTED.

Houiiora. —3rd instant, on warrant for unlawfully carnally knowing Kathleen Richmond, age fourteen, Richard Viskovich, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 10 in., gum-digger, native of Dalmatia, medium build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes, clean-shaved ; dressed in a brown suit and brownfelt hat. Complainant gave premature birth to a child on the 16th ultimo..

Whangarei. 29th July last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three months in default of paying £56 11s. 6d. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Annie Cookson, and two children, Robert Cookson, alias West, age forty, height 5 ft. in., motor engineer, native of England, medium build, sallow complexion, dark hair going bald, blue eyes, one lower front tooth missing ; usually dressed in a blue-serge suit and black-felt hat; fond of drink, and talkative. Arrears computed to 17th July, 1923. (See Police Gazette, 1924, page 450.)

Newton. —17th ultimo, on warrant for being a child not under proper care and control, Phyllis Tolley, age eight, native of New Zealand, thin build, sallow complexion, brown hair, blue eyes. She was before the Court on the above charge, and was remanded for a week to a Home at Ponsonby, from where she absconded on the sth ultimo. She may be accompanied by her mother, Lillian Tolley, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 6 in., native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair and eyes ; walks with a limp; addicted to the use of drags, and has scars on her arms caused by injections.

Auckland. 3oth ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife and four children, John Wilson, age sixty-two, height 5 ft. 3 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, grey hair going bald, blue eyes, grey moustache, right thumb deformed, bow-legged, scar on right side ; dressed in a blue-serge or dark-grey-tweed suit and light-grey hat ; Scotch accent. His photograph is filed in the Inspector’s Office, Christchurch. He is supposed to have gone to Australia. /&// //

Auckland. —16th ultimo, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Francis McHugh Reid, age fifty-four, height 5 ft. 10 in., traveller and labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion, brown hair turning grey; dressed in a dark-grey suit, grey-felt hat, and tan shoes. Tauranga.— 9th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Rotorua Police-gaol for one month in default of paying £5 13s. fine and costs for a breach of his prohibition order, David Munro Gillespie, alias McFarlane, alias David Munroe, age forty, height 5 ft. 3| in., labourer, native of Scotland, medium build, sallow complexion, brown hair going bald, grey eyes, blue scar on top of head. Ohakune. —14th May last, for theft of a cheque for £2 2s. 6d. on the Bank of New Zealand, Marton, the property of David Frederick Whale, farmer, Jack Munro, age about eighteen, height about 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, wavy fair hair; dressed in dungaree trousers and boots that appeared too large for him. Accused found a letter (containing the cheque) which had been lost by complainant’s children. He cashed tho cheque in the shop of E. 0. Lightband. There are other charges pending. Bth August last, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Emma Ford, Clarence Ford, age thirtyseven, height 5 ft. 8 in., motor salesman, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, clean-shaved, mole below right eye, lump behind one ear; fond of horseracing. Napier. —l4th ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his illegitimate child, of whom Theresa Hanley is the mother, Frank Erickson, alias Francis William Erickson, age thirtytwo, height 5 ft. 9 in., linotypist, native of New Zealand, medium build, pale complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes ; usually dressed in a dark-grey suit and light-felt hat. Wellington. —loth ultimo, for theft of a bicycle (recovered), value £lO, the property of Percy Mcßeth Anderson, clerk, Davidson (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 9 in., slight build, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes ; well dressed in a dark suit and felt hat; speaks as if suffering from nasal catarrh. The bicycle was stolen from outside the Dominion Farmers’ Institute and sold to Fordham and Child, auctioneers, Cuba Street, for £2, by a man of the description given. No warrant.

Wellington. —2oth ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Paparua Prison for three months in default of paying £2 12s. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Rosina Marriott Cooper, 9 Chatham Street, Berhampore, Albert Hunter Cooper, age fifty, height 5 ft. 9 in., bootmaker, dark complexion, blue eyes, portions of two left fingers missing, clean-shaved ; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit and gabardine overcoat; fond of drink. His photograph is filed in the Inspector’s Office, Wellington. Arrears computed

Wellington. —6th instant, for failing to comply with the conditions of his release upon probationary license, which expires on the sth June, 1925, William Aifred Potter, age thirty-eight, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of England, fresh complexion, fair hair, grey eyes. Waitati. —7th ultimo, for escaping from Seacliff Mental Hospital, Phillip Carmichael, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 8 in., native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion and hair, clean-shaved ; dressed in a dark-grey suit, grey cap, and lace-up shoes branded M.B. He was committed from Oamaru on the 16th October/1 9223

Dunedin. —20th September last, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Agnes Fuller, Jesse Frederick Fuller, age twentyfive, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, fresh complexion, curly fair hair, blue eyes, broken nose ; usually dressed in a grey suit, grey-felt hat, and tan boots.
