Accused, who was employed as canvasser for the above company, received from various persons the above amount and failed to account for it to his employers. Accused obtained a scrimp woollen costume, a toque hat, and a pair of gloves, value £8 10s., from James Smith and Co., Cuba Street, by falsely representing herself to be Mrs. Brodie, White’s Line, Lower Hutt.
