Circular No. 4/23.] Escaped Prisoners. The Controller-General of Prisons (Wellington) requests that he be promptly advised by telegram of the arrest of any escaped prisoner. The officer in charge of the gaol from which the prisoner escaped should also be notified without delay. Memorandum.] Boxing Competitions. My attention has been drawn to the fact that exhibitions of boxing are given at Shows, contrary to the provisions of sections 57 to 64 of the Police Offences Act, 1908.
