Dargaville. —2oth ultimo, from the person of WILLIAM JAMES SPROULE, while under the influence of liquor in Hokianga Road, a gentlemen’s silver hunting-watch ; a 9 ct. gold fetter-and-reef-knot watch-chain, similar to illustration No. 28 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2, with a greenstone pendant attached; and a £5 note: total value, £ll 15s. Identifiable except money.

Qoil ' S " v Queen Street Wharf (Auckland).— /7th November last, from the person of ROBERT JOHN JOHNSTON, 2 River Road, Hamilton, while in a urinal at the -station, a 9 ct. gold fetter watch-chain (bar missing), a gold medal, and seven £1 notes ; total value, about £ll. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to Two men (names unknown). Description : (1.) Age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, clean-shaved. (2.) Age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, clean-shaved.
AuckIand. CHARLES VERRAN’S dwelling broken into : The suspect, Patrick Joseph Cosgrave, has been charged with this offence. The property has not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1923, page 27.)
Auckland. —19th ultimo, from a dwelling at 147 Hobson Street, the property of HARRY HUIA STEHR, six £1 notes. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age about twenty height about 5 ft. 10 in., medium build, fair hair and complexion, muscles on one side of face contracted ; dressed in a dark-grey suit; shabby appearance. He was sharing a bedroom with complainant when the money was stolen.
Auckland. — lsth ultimo, the property of DOROTHY TROUTBECK, Malfroy Road, Rotorua, a pearl necklace, about 2 ft. long, tapering from middle, centre is a pearl set in platinum surrounded by about eight diamonds ; value,

Auckland. —On or about the 23rd ultimo the shop of JOHN POSTLES, tailor, 7 Darby Street, was broken into, and the following clothing stolen therefrom : A roll of 9J yards of pinhead dress -coating, and a roll of 12 yards of blue serge, branded “ Fox Indigo Dye ” ; total value, £l9 17s. Identifiable.

Te Kuiti. — 15th November last, from a v bedroom at the Commercial Hotel, the property of LESLIE HAYSON, 8 Scholfield Street, Auckland, a white Japanese-silk blouse, “ No. 50 ” on tag ; a white Japanese-silk blouse, “ No. 81 ” on tag and “ 1.8.M.5. or T ” written on inside ; a Japanesesilk blouse, “ No. 44 ” on tag and “ 1.8.M.5. or T ” written on inside ; a fugi-silk blouse, “ No. 42 ” on tag and “ 1.8.M.5. or T.” written on inside ; and three check zephyr overalls : total value, £6 ss. Identifiable.
Gisborne. 2sth ultimo, from clothing on. the s.s. “ Port Chalmers,” the property of MATHEW SHERIDAN, Kellingworth, House, a gentlemen’s metal open-face keyless Swiss watch with luminous dial, “ Mathew Sheridan ” on back case ; and a rolled-gold fetter-and oval watch-chain : total value, £5 17s. fid. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age about sixteen, height about 5 ft. 10 in., steward, slight build, pale complexion.
Hastings. — l3th instant, from Heretaunga Street, the property of LAWRENCE CONWAY, labourer, a gentlemen’s brown-enamelled free-wheel bicycle, No. 1151, upturned handles ; value, £6. Identifiable.
Palmerston North. —10th ultimo, from Bayley and Thompson’s stable in Broad Street, the property of ERIC ESPLINER, school-teacher, Bunnythorpe, a gentlemen’s 24 in. black-enamelled free-wheel Ivanhoe bicycle, No. 79827, upturned handles with black grips,. Barnet-Glass tires; value, £ls 15s. Identifiable.
Wellington.— 27th December last ; from a bedroom at the Trocadero Hotel, the property of ANNIE WINN, 31 Clyde Street, Melbourne, a gold bar brooch, set with a white sapphire in centre, with a safety-chain attached ; value, £2. Identifiable.
Wellington. 27th December last, from a bedroom at the Trocadero Hotel, the property of LEONARD FRANCIS SHEARER, 56 Leith Street, Dunedin, a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold ring, set with a cameo (man’s head) in oblong setting; value, £3. Identifiable.
Cheviot. 22nd December last, from Conway Road, the property of RICHARD THORNTON STEELE, stationmanager, Men dip Hills, a brown-leather suit-case, containing a blue-serge small suit; a pair of ebony-backed hair-brushes, with “ R.S.” on back of each ; a comb ; a set of silver sleevelinks, with “ R.S. ” on each ; a pair of black small shoes ; a quantity of socks, collars, handkerchiefs, and a suit of pyjamas : total value, £22 10s. Identifiable.

Christchurch. — 10th November last, from a dressing-shed at Corsair Bay, Lyttelton, the property of CHARLES BOYNE MYHRE, 51 Rossall Street, Fendalton, a gentlemen’s silver hunting Waltham watch, No. 307164, with “ Charles Boyne Myhre, from his parents on his birthday,” on inside of back case ; value, £5. Identifiable.
Christchurch. 3rd October last, from JOSEPH PATRICK McILLROY’S bedroom at 192 Montreal Street, a gentlemen’s silver hunting English lever watch, roman figures, gold hands ; a 9 ct. gold fetter-and-oval watch-chain, with a piece of greenstone resembling a book, with “ N.Z.” in gold on it attached ; a grey herringbone vest; and 7s. : total value, £ls 7s. Watch and-chain only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Henderson (name probably fictitious), age thirty, height 5 ft. 9 in., medium build, dark complexion and hair, brown eyes. Between the 27th and 29th ultimo the shop of SEGERS LIMITED, drapers, was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : a pair of gentlemen’s glace-kid Royalty brand boots, size 7, “ No. 7.369 ” on inside ; a tweed overcoat; a suit of clothes ; a dozen wideend ties ; and several shirts : total value, £l7 16s. Boots only identifiable.
Dunedin. Agency’s Store, the property of JAMES McLEAN, Sawyer’s Bay, a gentlemen’s silver Waltham watch, No. 174, with “ James McLean ” on inside of back case ; value, about £4. Identifiable.
