Auckland. —13th ultimo, for indecent assault on a male, Man (name unknown), age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, ginger hair on neck, clean-shaved ; untidily dressed in blue-dungaree trousers and brown coat. In the Domain, about 6 a.m. on above date, accused indecently assaulted John Edward Laycock, eleven years. No warrant.

Accused stole the bicycle from outside Bryant’s Buildings and sold it to a second-hand dealer for £2 10s.

Accused incurred a debt of £5 for taxi-fare from Levin to Shannon with William Makey, taxi-driver, Levin, and obtained credit by falsely representing that he had an account at the Bank of New Zealand, Levin, on which bank he gave complainant a valueless cheque. He is also wanted on warrant for obtaining a two-seater Ford motor-car (long black body, large benzine-tank at back, grey-canvas hood, registered No. P 1010) from Albert Edward Brooks, builder, Lower Hutt, by mean* of a valueless cheque for £75.
