Auckland.24th ultimo, for assault causing bodily harm, Man (name unknown), age about twenty-five, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build ; dressed in a dark suit. Whilst in Mountain Road, at about 10 p.m. on above date, Mary Ann Leyden, 18 Gilgid Avenue, Epsom, was assaulted by accused, who struck her on the head with a bottle. No warrant.
