INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney (New South Wales). —A warrant has been issued for the arrest of . John Mason, charged with conspiring with two men (names unknown), at Watson’s Bay, - Sydney, on the 6th ultimo, to defraud Joseph Reece of £ll. Description : Age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 11 in., good build ; dressed in a grey worsted tweed suit and black-beaver hat; associates with “ three-card tricksterers.” If located, he is not to be arrested, but an urgent communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington, in whose office a photograph of offender is filed. Melbourne (Victoria). —A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Martin S. Dunne for theft of £lO3 155., the property of William Taylor. Description : Age about thirtyeight, height 6 ft., property salesman, slight build, brown hair, clean-shaved ; usually dressed in a dark suit. He may be accompanied by his wife and child. If located, he is not to be arrested, but an urgent communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (P. 22/1097.)
