Phillipstown. —About 11 p.m. on the 4th ultimo a newlyborn female child, wrapped in a piece of towel and a singlet, was found abandoned at the front door of the Church of England vicarage at Opawa. If any information regarding the parentage of the child is obtained a communication is to be sent to the Inspector of Police, Christchurch.
