Queen Street Wharf (Auckland).- On or about the 10th ultimo, from Freeman’s Bay, the property of PERCY THOMPSON, 10 Centre Street, three mullet-nets, repaired and laced together — made of cotton twine, 4 in. mesh and thirty-six meshes deep, and one made of brown salmon-twine, 4-| in. mesh, twenty-six meshes deep ; total value, £7O. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to William Joseph Whyte, alias White, alias Hall, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 8|- in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, two scars on left forearm, scar on left thumb and forefinger. GEORGE ARRINDEL DOUGALL’S attache-case, &c., stolen : It has now been ascertained that the following was also stolen: A watch-shaped Aneroid mining barometer, with “ Maker, Brown, Vincent Street, Glasgow,” on it, front rim movable ; value, £3O. Dannevirke. sth instant, from a motor-car in Station Road, the property of LORNA WILLIAMS, 100 Manchester Street, Feilding, a brown-leather suit-case, with “ 5.T.8.” in gold on lid, containing a navy-blue heavy costume, with black silk braid on collar, cuffs, and on bands of skirt, braid buttons ; a white jumper blouse, with red-and- white beadwork in front ; a white nightgown ; an ebony-backed hairbrush ; a satin-lined handbag with bead-work on it, containing a purse, £1 10s. in silver, and a crossed cheque for £3 3s. on the Bank of New Zealand, Dannevirke, drawn by H.
