Wellsford. On or about the 10th instant, from GORDON SHEPHERD’S barn at Port Albert, a white tarpaulin, 18 ft. by 20 ft. ; a light-blue tarpaulin, 12 ft. by 16 ft. ; and a lightgreen tarpaulin, Bft. by 10ft., with oil-stains on it: total value, £2O. Identifiable.

Te Puke. Between the 22nd and 26th October last, from ARTHUR BORTAL KNIGHT’S paddock .at Papamoa, twenty-three mixed Shorthorn cattle, from one to two years ; and a three-year-old Polled Angus heifer with white face and black ears, calf at foot, heifers earmarked with a Y-shaped piece out of tip of right ear and out of top and bottom of left ear, steers similarly earmarked on opposite ears ; total value, £96. Identifiable.

Palmerston North. —18th ultimo, from Church Street, the property of JAMES TIMOTHY FAHEY, 12 Hereford Street, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled free-wheel 22 in. bicycle, No. 6583, with Ideal transfer on it, straight handles with black grips, back-pedalling brake, rat-trap pedals, Bar-nett-Glass tire on front wheel, Railroad tire on back wheel; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Wellington. — 2Bth October last, from Victoria Street, the property of JOHN BRODIE, storeman, a gentlemen’s Ivanhoe bicycle, No. 80889, upturned handles with one bone grip, Hercules hub, Rea and National tires, metal pedals, backpedalling brake ; value, £l7 10s. Identifiable.

Suspicion is attached to Leslie or John Leslie Batson, age nineteen, height 5 ft. 7£ in., labourer, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, flower and “Leslie” on right forearm, “Bird” and “Rona” on left forearm ; dressed in a dark suit, grey cap, and black boots. Christchurch. — About the 10th August last, from a bedroom in the Clarendon Hotel, the property of ROBERT GEORGE HUDSON, 878 Cumberland Street, Dunedin, a pair of Zeiss field-glasses in a brown-leather case with strap; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Bth October last, from 162 Hereford Street, the property of WILLIAM STANLEY RICHARDS, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Premier bicycle, upturned handles with black-celluloid grips, two rim-brakes, rusty nickel rims, twisted-tube frame model, oil-bath "chaincase ; value, £2O.
