ABSCONDERS FROM INDUSTRIAL SCHOOLS.
Levin. Charles E. D. Hayward, age fifteen, height about 5 ft. 2 in., farm labourer, native of New Zealand, fair hair and complexion, full face ; dressed in tweed trousers and bluedungaree coat; sullen expression.
Levin. Patrick O’Callaghan, age sixteen, height about 5 ft. in., native of New Zealand, dark hair and complexion, blue eyes ; dressed in a grey-tweed suit and dark-tweed overcoat.
Levin. Percival Johnstone, age seventeen, height about 5 ft. 8 in , labourer, native of New Zealand, fair hair and complexion, full round face ; dressed in a tweed suit.
Dunedin. —31st ultimo, from the licensed service of his parents, 18 Phillip Street, Caversham, Robert Hamilton Gifford, age nineteen (born on 20th April, 1901), height 5 ft. 7in., blacksmith’s striker, native of New Zealand, slight build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, right forefinger deformed ; dressed in a brown dirty suit and khaki overcoat; may endeavour to join a ship. He was licensed out from Weraroa Training Farm. (See Police Gazette, 1919, page 736.)
