SPECIAL NOTICES.
Auckland. —About midnight on the 29th ultimo, Two men (names and descriptions unknown), whilst in the act of blowing open by means of explosives a safe in 0. B. Laurie’s confectionery - faotory, Stanley Street, were disturbed by the Parnell police. The men ran away, leaving behind them a number of tools and a walking-stick with “ J.8.C.” on it. Any information regarding the offenders is to be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Auckland.
Mangaweka.— During the night of the 25th ultimo a dwellinghouse, hut, furniture, engine-shed, engine, stable, wool, farm implements, dray, cart, and gig, of the total value of £1,835, the property of David Robb, farmer, Ohingaiti, were wilfully destroyed by fire by some person or persons unknown. In December last complainant’s fences were also cut and two steers and a sheep shot, vide Police Gazette, 1919, page 781. Any information regarding the offenders is to be communicated to the Inspector of Police, Wanganui.
Wellington.—-On the night of the 21st ultimo Prank Plipp’s butcher’s shop at 185 Seatoun Road, South Kilbirnie, was broken into, and the safe in the office blown open by means of explosives. There was nothing stolen. Any information regarding the offender or offenders is to be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Wellington.
