Wellington.— 23rd ultimo, on military warrant for being absent from Expeditionary Force without leave, John Hammond, age thirty-five, height sft 7 in., fencer, medium build, fresh complexion, black hair, hazel eyes. He was last employed by W. Poison, station-holder, Wanganui. Next-of-kin, Albert Hammond, father, 130 North Street, Timaru. He is probably identical with John Hammond, referred to the Police Gazette, 1919, page 501.
