Avondale. 3rd May last, from a paddock at Little Muddy Creek, the property of GEORGE YORK, New Lynn, an eight-year-old dark-brown gelding, 16 hands, lump on back, long mane and tail, cast in one eye; value, £25. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Thomas Smith, age about forty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, stout build, fair complexion, brown hair, grey eyes ; dressed in a grey suit and light soft-felt hat.

Bth instant, from a tram-car between the city and Ponsonby, the property of ALBERTA PEARCE, 2 Dublin Street, Ponsonby, a leather suit-case, about 35 in. by 25 in. by 18 in., with " Bullock Hide ” stamped on top, containing a blue-velvet corded dress trimmed with braid; a knitted cerise silk sports’ coat; a crepe de Chine blouse with square neck and pink band ; a blue crepe dressing-gown with white facings ; two ladies’ white cotton vests with long sleeves ; a ladies’ white cotton spencer ; three scarves ; six handkerchiefs; a pair of brown stockings; three nightdresses; some underclothing; a pair of ladies’ lace-up shoes (size 5); a whalebone-bristles hair-brush with an ivory back ; and a comb : total value, £23 15s. 3d. Auckland. — 26th ultimo, from a motor-car in a lane between Darby and Victoria Streets, the property of JOHN McLEOD, Green Lane, two bronze Autoclitse brand Torpedo lamps, with bull’s-eye glasses, left one has been soldered at bracket; value, £3. Identifiable.

Auckland.— On the 12th instant, WILLIAM JAMES WEIR’S premises at 84 Victoria Street were broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: A ladies’ 18ct. gold ring, set with three sapphires (large one in centre) and four diamonds ; a gentlemen’s ring, set with a large blue stone surrounded with brilliants; a white-handled Bengal razor in a black case; a small black-leather purse; and about £2 145.: total value, about £7 6s. Identifiable except money.

Auckland. On the 25th May last VERA ULPH’S dwelling at 28 Rutland Road, Devonport, was broken into, and the following money stolen therefrom: A £1 note and 10s. ; also four £1 notes ; two 10s. notes; and Bs. 6d. : the property of M. SANGSTER.

Auckland. — Between the 15th and 16th instant WILLIAM HENRY NAGLE’S shop at 342 Dominion Road was broken into, and the following property stolen therefrom: A pair of ladies’ Bostock shoes, size 5, with nickel-buckle fasteners ; a pair of ladies’ Suckling Bros.’ shoes, size 3, with dull-kid fanoy tops, and a bow on front; a pair of ladies’ Suckling Bros.’ Court shoes, size 4; a pair of ladies’ patent-leather Flex-Su Court shoes, size 5, with a rosette on front; a pair of gentlemen’s glace-kid, close-fronted, lace-up Northern Light boots, size 7 ; a pair of gentlemen’s box-calf lace-up Flexile boots, sized, with American toes; about 2s. 6d. worth of penny, three-halfpeDny, and halfpenny stamps ; and about 2s. : total value, about £8 Bs. Mount Eden. — On or about the 19th ultimo, from JOSHUA JOHN WINTER’S shop in New North Road, a gentlemen’s me'al open-face watch ; a gentlemen’s metal open-face keyless Ascot watch ; a gold open curb watch-chain similar to illustration No. 21 in Police Gazette , 1911, page 2 ; a gold close curb double watch-chain similar to illustration No. 35 in Police Gazette , 1911, page 3; a gold sleeve-link with “H.B.”onit; a stud ; and a briar pipe total value, £3 13s. 6d. Sleeve-link only identifiable.

Onehunga.— Bth instant, the property of PARDINGTON AND SUTHERLAND, cycle-works, Queen Street, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled 22 in. Red Bird bicyole, Nos. 172300 and P.S. 202, 208 Model, upturned handles, rattrap pedals, Eadie Coaster hub, steel mud-guard on front wheel, wooden mud-guard on back wheel ; value, £lO. Identifiable. A boy about fifteen years, who gave the name of Thomas, or Thompson, hired the bicyole from complainants and failed to return it.

Paeroa. —On or about the 14th ultimo, from a suit-case in the Netherton Hall, the property of the Rev. FATHER O’LEARY, a silver-lined chalice, and silver oil-stocks in three sections, with I on top section, B on middle section, and Con bottom section ; total value, £4 10s. Identifiable.

Te Aroha. —Between the 29th ultimo and the Ist instant, from JAMES S. COTTRELL’S paddock at Shaftsbury, an aged bay mare, 13 hands, long tail; value, £6. Identifiable.

Hamilton.— Between the 19th and 21st instant, from a bedroom at the Commercial Hotel, the property of LEONARD KEARNEY, farmer, Kawhia, a brown-leather briefbag, 18 in. long", containing a Plumb razor, a razor-strop, a

shaving-brush with a steel handle, a black-backed military hair-brush, a boot-brush, a clothes-brush, a pair of gold square-and-dumb-bell sleeve-links, and a Waterman’s fountain pen ; total value, £4 15s. Identifiable.

Gisborne. — On or about the 9th ultimo, from Read’s Quay, the property of PARKE PITTAR, Mangapapa, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled B.S.A. bicycle (one grip, brakes, and mud-guards missing); value, £5. Identifiable.
