SPECIAL NOTICE.
Dunedin. —Between the 4th December last and the 4th instant the following bank-notes were stolen from a case in the “hold” of the s.s. “ Ruahine ,r at Auckland, Wellington, or Lyttelton, the property of the NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING COMPANY, 1,000 unsigned National Bank of New Zealand £1 notes in ten books of 100 each, Nos. A 599801 to A6OOOOO, and A 600201 to A6OIOOO (inclusive), dated Ist January, 1918. Urgent inquiries are to be made with a view to the detection of the offender.
