(From Neiv Zealand Gazette, 1918, pages 1841,1845, and 1951.) Amending General Regulations under Part II of the Fisheries Act. 1908. LIVERPOOL, Governor-General. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government House at Wellington, this thirteenth dav of May, 1918. Present :

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council. ~YTTHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-third VV day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 76, of the twenty-ninth day of the same month, general regulations were made for fishing for salmon, trout, and perch : And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 146, of

the twenty-seventh day of the same month, an additional regulation was made governing the use of torches for eelfishing :

And whereas it is desirable to revoke the additional regulation of the twenty-first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and to make another regulation in lieu thereof:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section eighty-three of the Fisheries Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “ the said Act,”), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited regulation of the twenty-first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and doth make the following additional general regulation for the purposes of the said Act.

REGULATION. Any acclimatization society may, with the approval of the Minister of Marine, prohibit the use of torches, acetylene lamps, or other artificial lights for eel-fishing in any river within its district. J. F. ANDREWS, Clerk of the Executive Council.

Hobson Acclimatization District defined.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint those parts of the said Dominion described in the Schedule hereto to be a district under and for the purposes of the said Act, and I do hereby declare that such district shall be known as the Hobson Acclimatization District.

SCHEDULE. All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing on the sea-coast at the north-western corner of Block V, Waipoua Survey District, and bounded by the southern boundaries of Blocks 1, 11, 111, and IV, Waipoua Survey District, to a public road, across that road, and by the western, southern, and south-eastern boundaries of Section 10, Block I, Tutamoe Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section, across a public road, and by the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 5,6, and 7, Block V, Tutamoe Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section 5, Block I, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 5,4, 3, and 14 of the last-mentioned block, and part of the southern boundary of Section 5, Block 11, Tutamoe Survey District, to the intersection of a line running between the north-western corner of Section 3, Block XIII, Punakitere Survey District, and Tutamoe Trig. Station; thence by the last-mentioned line to Tutamoe Trig. Station; thence generally by the northern and north-eastern boundary of Hobson County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1911, page 3065, to the Otamatea County ; thence by the northern boundary of Otamatea County as described in New Zealand Statutes, 1886, page 315, to the main road to Waipou ; thence by the western side of that road through Maungaturoto to the Great North Road, and by the western side of that road to the eastern boundary of Otamatea County ; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of Otamatea County, the eastern and southern boundaries of Hobson County, to the sea; thence by the sea to the north-western corner of Block V, Waipoua Survey District, the place of commencement.
