PERSONS WANTED.

Avondale. —25th ultimo, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of address may be instituted against him, Angus Campbell, age forty-four, shearer.

Newton. —31st ultimo, for theft of 9s. 6d., the property of Margaret Brodie, confectioner, Karangahape Road, Two men (names unknown). First: Age about thirty, height 5 ft. 6 in., medium build, fair complexion, reddish hair, clean-shaved, thin face, freckled hands; dressed in a navy-blue suit and grey-felt hat with dark band. He may be identical with Edward James Wilson, referred to in t'olice Gazette, 1917, page 30. Second: Age about twenty-six, height about 5 ft. 9 in., good build, dark hair and complexion, clean-shaved, full face ; dressed in a grey suit, grey-felt hat with black band, and light overcoat. Accused in paying for two bottles of soda-water obtained 9s. 6d. from complainant by “ringing the changes.” No warrant.

Auckland. —4th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Elsie May Rashleigh, 3 Pratt Street, Ponsonby, George Rashleigh, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. in., painter, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, black hair, brown eyes, small scar on each right finger, scar on left thigh and knee. Arrears to 23rd ultimo, £l2. (See Police Gazette, 1918, page 31.)

Gisborne. —2sth July last, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of address may be instituted against him, Herbert Smith, age thirty-four, height 5 ft. 10in., labourer. He may be living with his wife and three children.

Hastings. —6th instant, on warrant of commitment to Napier Prison for one month in default of paying £5 10s. fine and costs for a breach of his prohibition order, James Henry Tietjens, age forty-eight, height 5 ft. 6 in., cook and baker, native of New Zealand, dark complexion, darkbrown hair, brown eyes; usually dressed in a grey suit and grey soft-felt hat; dirty appearance. Feilding. —23rd ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for three months in default of paying £l7 7s. arrears of maintenance due for the support of his three children, Frederick William Bismark, age about fifty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer and shearer, native of Germany, strong build, fresh complexion, fair hair and mouscache turning grey; usually dressed in a grey-tweed suit and cap.

Levin. —Between the 10th November and the 6th December last, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of address may be instituted against him, Edward Francis Nicholls or Nickolls, age twenty-five, baker.

Wellington. —3lst ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for one month in default of paying £5 10s. fine and costs for a breach of his prohibition order, Samuel Beattie, age forty-three, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of Ireland, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, blue eyes.

Wellington. —sth instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Charles Johnston, age thirty, height 5 ft. 8 in., butcher, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a blueserge suit, black boots, and navy-blue cap. Complainant, Jane Johnston, Ngaio.

Wellington. —lßth instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his illegitimate child, James McGrath, age thirty-eight, height sft. Gin., native of Ireland, strong build, fair complexion and moustache, dark hair, blue eyes, right shoulder higher than left, swings one arm when walking ; usually dressed in a black suit and brown cap.

Wellington. —l4th instant, on warrant for deserting from the s.s. “Armagh,” Peter Legg, height sft. Gin., fireman, native of England, stout build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes, cast in right eye.

Wellington. —2nd ultimo, on warrant for delivering an indecent document, William Samuel Beehre, age thirty, height sft. 6in., carter, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, curly dark-brown hair, brown eyes, large nose, four right fingers missing. Accused delivered on the premises of Thomas Revell, 20 Jessie Street, a letter containing indecent language. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 121.)

Greymouth. —l7th October last, that he may be located and the Government Statistician notified of his whereabouts, J. Buchanan, age about thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 10 in., gardener, native of New Zealand.

Greymouth.— 2Bth ultimo, on two warrants of commitment to Greymouth Prison for (1) fourteen days in default of paying £2 3s. fine and costs for a breach of the Licensing Act, and (2) seven days in default of paying £1 6s. fine and costs for illegally “ treating,” Ernest Falkner, age about forty-seven, height 5 ft. 11 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, stout build, dark hair and complexion, grey eyes ; usually dressed in a dark suit and hard-felt hat.

Addington.— l3th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his illegitimate child, Kenneth Walter McKnight, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., traveller, native of New Zealand, thin build, pale complexion, wavy dark-brown hair, blue eyes, clean-shaved. Arrears to sth instant, £sl.

Waimate.— 24th ultimo, that a summons for being found on licensed premises during prohibited hours may be served upon him, David McLaren, age fifty-eight, height 5 ft. 6|in., carpenter, native of Scotland, medium build, fresh complexion, grey hair and beard ; dressed in a grey dirty suit and grey-felt hat.

Dunedin. —13th December last, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, John Duncan, age forty-seven, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer and machinist, native of Scotland, strong build, dark complexion, dark hair turning grey, blue eyes, clean-shaved, small piece broken off one upper front tooth, scar on one shin. Complainant,' Annie Elizabeth Duncan, Nairn Street, Kaikorai.

Dunedin. —Bth instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Joseph Ernest Carter, age thirty, height 5 ft. 3 in., labourer, native of Australia, slight build, fair complexion, long light-brown hair, grey eyes, clean-shaved, four or five teeth missing. Complainant, Frances Catherine Jeannett Carter, 32 Duncan Street.
