DESERTERS FROM HIS MAJESTY’S SERVICE.

From the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Waihi.— 3rd May last, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Henry Alfred Drummond Anderson, age forty-one, height 5 ft. 11 in., battery engineer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes; clean-shaved; usually dressed in a light sport’s suit and hard black hat; stooping gait.

Hamilton.—Bth March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Alexander Bruce Webster, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in., bricklayer, native of Tasmania ; weight 11 st. 7 lb. ; suffers from heart trouble. (P. 17/14.)

Rotorua. —22nd May last, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Ruakaka Muruia, age thirty, height 5 ft. 11 in., labourer, aboriginal, medium build, copper complexion, black hair, brown eyes, several scars on right leg, scar inside left knee ; right ankle dislocated.

Rotorua. —Ist ultimo, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, George Leslie Martin, age twenty, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair complexion, brown hair and eyes, scar on chin.

Gisborne. —21st March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Edmund Holland, age twenty, height 5 ft. 4 in., blacksmith.

Gisborne. —29th March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Daniel Conway, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. lOJin., salesman, native of Australia, weight 10 st. 61b. (P. 17/14.)

Napier. escaping from military custody, Hubert Rosa, age thirty, height about 5 ft. 6 in., medium build, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, butterfly on back of left hand; fond of drink.

Wanganui. —3oth April last, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Charles Whaka, age about twenty-two, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, aboriginal, medium build, copper complexion, dark hair, brown eyes.

Palmerston North.—lst March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Harry Peters, age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 9 in., groom, supposed half-caste Australian aboriginal, medium build, dark complexion, black curly hair, short black moustaohe, blue-grey eyes. Masterton.—l6 May last, on military warrant for deserting from Trentham Gamp, E. G. Harrison, age twenty, height 5 ft. 8 in., farmer, native of New Zealand, fair complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes, soar over right tibia. Next-of-kin, Mrs. G. Harrison, Greytown. Wellington. —lßth March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, George Richard Christie, age thirty-two, height 5 ft. 7 in., shepherd, medium build. He has stated that he served seven years in the 42nd Royal Highlanders.

Wellington. —4th May last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Andrew Swan, height 5 ft. 10 in., shearer and seaman, dark-brown hair, sandy whiskers.

Wellington. —l9th ultimo, from Trentham Camp, C. D. Sutherland, age twenty, height 5 ft. 7^in., tram-con-ductor, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, curly brown hair, grey eyes, scar on left buttock.

Mount Cook.— 7th May last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Frank Rostron, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of England, stout build, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit, fawn overcoat, and hard black hat or cap ; smart appearance. If located, and he is employed as a miner, he is not to be arrested until instructions are obtained from the Director of Personal Services, Defence Department.

Timaru. —18th March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Albert Joseph Brooks, age about thirty-nine, height 5 ft. 2 in., horsetrainer, native of New Zealand ; suffers from muscular rheumatism.

Timaru. —2oth Maroh last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, James Kennedy, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 7 in., shepherd.

Arrowtown. —22nd ultimo, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, James McMullan, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., miner, native of New Zealand, stout build ; dressed in a navy-blue suit and hard black-felt hat; erect gait.
