Newton (Auckland). Between 31st January last and 21st ultimo, from the shop of LEDIARD AND KI.NGSFORD, Karangahape Road, three brown-canvas oiled overcoats, size 3, fastened by straps and buckles, stamped “Lee Roy” and “ Military ” on inside of coat; total value, £6. Identification doubtful.

Auckland.— -Between the 20th and 31st January last, from the shop of JOHN WILLIAM KEALEY, 12 Victoria Street, a quarter-plate Cameo folding camera, fitted with Beck lens, time-bulb and instantaneous shutter, focussingscrew, and extension brass tripod, “ J. J. Holland ” on label attaohed ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Napier. —Between 6th and 23rd ultimo, from the s.s. “Victoria,” between Auckland, Dunedin, and Napier, the property of ARCHIBALD CLARK AND SONS, Tennyson Street, four pairs gentlemen’s lambs’ wool underpants; a double-reined bridle, inlaid front, square buckles ; a pair of ladies’ white-canvas rubber-soled shoes, size 3 ; six pairs of gentlemen’s white-canvas shoes, sizes 7,8, and 9 ; six pairs of gentlemen’s black cotton socks ; three long black oil walkingcoats, “Tower Fish Brand, No. 101,” on while square slip riveted on right side below first button ; a long green oil walking-coat, “ Tower Fish Brand ” on red square slip stitched on left side below first button, brown-corduroy collar ; a short black oil riding-coat, “Tower Fish Brand, No. 345 ” on white riveted slip ; and a pair of black oil pants, “ Tower Fish Brand, No. 351 ” : total value, £9 Os. Napier. On or about 11th ultimo, from outside Bryant’s Buildings, the property of WILLIAM HEARN. Hastings Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel B.S.A. bicycle, 24 in. frame, outrigger handles, grips missing, rattrap pedals back-pedalling brake ; value, £6. Identifiable.

Wellington.— NELLlE HUMPHREY, VERA SMITH and HENRIETTA O’BRIEN’S money, &c., stolen : Robert Carlton Gray has been charged with this offence. The property has not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 740.)

Rangiora. —2Bth December last, the property of JESSIE McLEAN, Southbrook, a green canvas suit-case, 3 ft. by 2 ft., containing a navy-blue costume, a white costume, a muslin dress, a blue-voile dress, a blue-silk dress, six blouses, three pairs stockings, a clothes-brush, and a quantity of underclothing, all marked “J. McLean”; total value, £l6 6s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to a Man (name unknown), age about thirty-five, height about 5 ft. 9 in., medium build, fair complexion; appearance of a farmer. Complainant left the suit case in some long grass at the side of the road near Southbrook, and during her absence the above-described man was seen to put it in his trap and drive away. Christchurch. —24th ultimo, from the Trades Hall, the property of HENRY WORRALL, 140 Tancred Street, Lin wood, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled free-wheel bicyle, No. 4715, steel rims, rubber pedals, celluloid mud-guards, back-pedalling brake, small copper rivet in driving-wheel; value, £5. Identifiable.

Timaru.— 22nd January last, from a launch at the wharf, the property of JAMES SHEARS, Hobbs Street, a gentlemen’s open-face silver lever watch, No. 49681, with “R. Jones, Westershire,” on dial; value, £5. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —Between December, 1915, and December last, from the dwelling of MRS. PAGET GALE, at 75 Stafford Street, a white christening-robe, trimmed with Valenciennes lace, a Brussels net wedding-veil, wavy web pattern ; a fawn rug, and a white hand-knitted shawl with a chain fringe: total value, £24. Identifiable.

St. Kilda.— On or about 10th ultimo, from the dwelling of MARY HENDERSON, Lowburn Ferry, Cromwell, a gentlemen’s dark-brown check suit, a gentlemen’s worsted suit (suits made by J. and J. Arthur, Dunedin); a red worsted vest with red-glass buttons; a cream vest with blue-glass buttons; a gentlemen’s Hydrotite raincoat; a ladies’ black-cloth costume coat, a brown-leather Gladstone bag, containing a brown-velvet tunic, two tussore-silk tunics, a brown woollen jersey, a brown corded velvet hat, a tussoresilk blouse, and a box of mourning notepaper: total value, £l3 ss. Identifiable.

Bluff. —Between 19th and 22nd ultimo, from a shed on the wharf, the property of DIXON BROS., a pair of gum boots, size 8 (Gold Seal Brand), and two claw-hammers (one new) ; total value, £2 Bs. 6d. Identification doubtful.
