SPECIAL INQUIRY.
Wellington.— On the sth instant the dead body of a fully developed female ohild was found floating in the Wellington Harbour. A post-mortem examination of the body revealed the fact that death was caused through inattention at birth, and that the body had been placed in the water after death. Inquiries are to be made with a view to discovering the mother of the ohild, and also the person by whom the body was placed in the harbour. Any information regarding this matter is to be communioated to the Superintendent of Police, Wellington.
