DESERTERS FROM HIS MAJESTY’S SERVICE.
From the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Featherston. —10th September last, from Featherston Camp, Ernest Sweeney, age thirty, height 5 ft. 6 in., jockey and soldier, native of New Zealand, medium build, ruddy complexion, brown hair, blue eyes. He was last employed by Mr. Rennie, Te Kuiti, and his next-of-kin was given as J. Sweeney, father, Hastings. (See Police Gazette , 1912, page 326.)
Featherston. —10th September last, from Featherston Camp, Patrick O'Neill, ago forty-four, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer and soldier, native of New Zealand, medium build, ruddy complexion, grey hair and eyes. He was last employed by the Marton County Council, and his next-of-kin was given as Mrs. L. McCormick, sister, Ashburton.
