ABSENTEES FROM HIS MAJESTY’S SERVICE.
From the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Wellington.— 29th August, 1915, from Rangiotu Camp, Richard James Stewart, age thirty - five, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, weight 12 st., woman’s head and bust on right upper arm, emblem of faith, hope, and charity on right forearm, American and British flags and eagle on left upper arm, woman and child on left forearm, draped woman on right thigh, woman on left ankle. His last address was 173 Montreal Street, Christchurch, and he was employed by Waddell and Son, Christchurch. He is apparently identical with Richard James Stewart, referred to in Police Gazette, 1915, page 774. If located he is to be handed to the Military Authorities. (P. 15/699.)
