PERSONS WANTED.

Dargaville. —22nd May last, on warrant for failing to maintain his illegitimate child, Richard Frederick Wilson, age twerty-one, height 5 ft. 10 in., steward, native of England, thin build, pale complexion, curly dark hair, brown eyes, flags on each arm. Complainant, Ada Jane Wright, Mangawhare.

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). 3rd instant, on warrant for deserting from the s.s. “ Rangatira,” T. Sversson, age about twenty-five, height about sft. 6Jin., seaman, native of Denmark, medium build, P.S. on back of left hand ; speaks good English.

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). 3rd instant, on warrant for deserting from the s.s. “ Rangatira,” O. Anderson, age about nineteen, height about sft. 9in., seaman, native of Norway, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair.

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland).— l3th ultimo, on warrant for deserting from the s.s. “ Orari,” F. A. Collins, age forty-five, height 5 ft. 7 in., baker, sallow complexion, light-brown hair ; walks with a slight stoop.

Auckland. —4th July last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for seven days in default of paying £2 17s. 6d. fine and costs for drunkenness, Eliza Agnes Monaghan, alias McMillan, age forty-eight, height 5 ft. ljin., prostitute, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, blue eyes; cross-eyed; defective eyesight; soar on centre of breast, on left leg, and in left armpit. Auckland. —On or about the 20th September last, on warrant for theft of £475, the property of Dexter and Crozier, motor-car importers, Auckland, Henry G. Grover, age thirty-two, height about 5 ft. 9 in., motor-car salesman, native of England, good build, fair hair and complexion ; usually well dressed. Accused in his capacity as agent for Messrs. Dexter and Crozier received £475 from Harold Brown, Wellington, on terms requiring him to acoount for or pay the same to his employers. This he failed to do, and is now believed to be in Sydney. Auckland. —4th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Canute William Julius Larsen, age thirty-two, height sft. 6in., seaman and labourer, native of Denmark, medium build, fresh complexion, lightbrown hair, blue eyes. Complainant, Ruth Larsen, 49Sackville Street, Grey Lynn.

Auckland. —5 h instant, for escaping from Rotoroa Inebriates’ Home, Michael Higgins, alias Hart, age forty-one, height 5 ft. 7£in., fireman, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, auburn hair, blue-grey eyes ; Australian coat-of-arms and star on right upper arm ; dragon, clasped hands across heart, anchor, woman, woman’s bust, clasped hands, “ M.H.” and vase of flowers on left forearm. Auckland. sth instant, for escaping from Rotoroa Inebriates’ Home, James Hunter, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. Bfin., seaman and miner, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark hair and complexion, brown eyes. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 792.)

Auckland. —7th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, William George Smith, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 7 in., carpenter, native of New Zealand, strong build, dark complexion, black hair turning grey, brown eyes, mole on upper lip. His photograph is filed in the Superintendent’s Office, Auckland. Arrears to 15th ultimo, £l7. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 504.)

Auckland. —Bth instant, that he may be compelled to maintain his daughter, Ruby Maud Nursey, an inmate of Auckland Industrial School, Charles Alexander Nursey, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 11 in., seaman, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair hair and complexion. He was last heard of at Auckland in July, 1906. He may assume the name Charles Wilson. Inquiry by the Education Department, Wellington. (See Police Gazette, 1906, pages 228 and 274.)

Cambridge. —22nd ultimo, for absconding from the licensed service of Luke Dougherty, farmer, Maungakawa, William Baker, age sixteen, height about 5 ft. 4 in., native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh dark complexion, stutters; dressed in a grey suit and cap and black stockings with red stripes. He was licensed out from St. Joseph’s Orphanage, Auckland.

Cambridge. —22nd ultimo, for absconding from the licensed service of Luke Dougherty, farmer, Maungakawa, Vincent Hayes, age fifteen, height about 5 ft. 3in., native of New Zealand, sallow complexion, light-brown hair, brown eyes; dressed in a navy-blue suit and black stocking with green stripes. He was licensed out from St. Joseph’s Orphanage, Auckland.

Taumarunui. — Harry Dallar, keeping liquor for sale in a no-license area: It has been ascertained by the Taumarunui police that his correct name is Duller. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 787.)

Napier. —lsth ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Napier Prison for one month in default of paying £5 10s. fine and costs for a breach of his prohibition order, William Charles May, age forty-five, height 5 ft. 3 in., driver, native of England, medium build, fresh oomplexion, brown hair, blue eyes; usually dressed in black trousers, dark-grey coat and vest, and soft-felt hat. Wellington. —lßth October last, that he may be compelled to maintain his wife, ; Albert Henry Nightingale, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer and seaman, native of England, strong build, dark complexion, thick black hair; well educated; good pianist. Complainant, Marian Nightingale, 372 The Terrace.

Wellington. —4th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife and children, Arthur Charles Frederick Davies, age thirty-one, height 5 ft. 7 in., boilermaker and shearer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fair complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, cross on right arm, “A” on left forearm, erect gait. Complainant, Nellie Davies, 110 Adelaide Road. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 619.)

Wellington. —22nd ultimo, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Stephen James Rodda, age thirtyfour, height about 5 ft. 4 in., labourer and blacksmith, native of New Zealand, strong build, ruddy complexion, dark-brown hair, brown eyes, spot on pupil of one eye. Arrears to 22nd ultimo, £l2 6s.

Wellington. 26th September last, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his two children, Leonard Buxton Armstrong, age thirty-six, height sft. 6in., clerk, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, hazel eyes, wears spectacles. Blackball —lßth October last, that a summons for committing a grossly indecent act may be served upon him, John Burns, age about twenty-four, height about 5 ft. sin., labourer, miner and seaman, strong build, fresh oomplexion, dark hair, grey eyes ; fond“of drink.

Ashburton. —loth March last, that a distress warrant for £5 10s. may be executed upon his effects, Henry Thomas Hyland, alias F. Healey, age twenty-one, height 5 ft. 9Jin., grocer’s assistant, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes ; erect gait; smart appearance. He was fined for failing to attend camp. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 433.)

Dunedin. —3rd instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, William John Moore, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 6 in., traveller, native of Ireland, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, large blue eyes, high cheekbones, thin features; usually wears a wristlet watch. Tapanui. —l7th ultimo, that he may be compelled to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his four children, inmates of Caversham Industrial School, Alexander McQueen, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer and sawmiller, native of New Zealand, sallow complexion, light-brown hair, high forehead and cheek-bones; slovenly gait; fond of drink.
