PERSONS WANTED.

Kaitaia. —llth March last, that a summons may be served on him for theft of a trody-wheel, value £1 55., Urn property of John Wells, carpenter, Awanui, James Roberts, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 10in., wheelwright, native of England, medium build, dark hair, complexion, and eyes.

Auckland.— William Scholes, forgery and uttering, was sentenced to twelve months in Wellington Prison on the 14th ins ant under the name Thorne. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 25.)

Auckland. —ll th June last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for seven days in default of paying £1 19s. fine and costs for a breach of the peace, Leo Augustus South, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 5f m., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, sa'low complexi >n, light-brown hair, blue-grey eyes; eagle, flag, flower, and “Liberty” on right upper arm; woman's head and snake on left forearm. Auckland. —Since 28th June last, that a notice of order in respeot tf her son, an inmate of an industrial school, m*v be served on her, Matilda Jane Preston, age thirty four, height 5 ft. lin., domestic, native of New Zealand, slim build, sallow complexion, brown e) es, dark hair, one corner of mouth droops. She may assume the name Connor.

Auckland. sth instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Charles Henry Roxborough, age twenty-three, height 5 ft. 9in., pack r, i ative of New Zealand, well built, fair complexion, daik-brown hair, blue eves. He may assume the name Chapman. His photograph is filed in the Superinten ient’s Office, Auckland. Complainant, Elizabeth Roxborough, 5 Grove Road, Devonport.

Paeroa. —2oth May last, that two summonses mav be served upon him for supplying liquor to Natives, William Ward, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 11 in., miner and bookmaker, supposed native of Australia, medium build, darkbrown hair ; one eye injured.

Paeroa. —sfch instant, that two summonses may be served upon him for supplying liquor to Natives, Joseph Michael Moran, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer and miner, native of New Zealand, strong build, curly brown hair, blue eyes, scar under left eye. Gisborne. — 11th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife and two children, Alfred Fox, age forty-two, height 5 ft. 4 in., labourer, native of England, strong build, fair hair and complexion, deep set blue eyes, heavy e)ebrows, dimple in chin; frequents Salvation Army meetings. Complainant, Margaret Gertrude Fox.

Taumarunui. —12th instant, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three months in default of paying £SO fine for sly-grog selling, James William Francis Meldrum, age thirty-five, height sft. 9 m., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes ; walks with a slight stoop ; speaks quickly ; smart appearance.

Ohakune. —11th instant, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for two months in default of paying £lO 16s. fine and costs for failing to label liquor, William Parker, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair, scar on bridge of nose, which has been injured.

Napier.— 23rd ultimo, on warrant for false pretences, Arthur George Coleman, age forty-three, height 6 ft. lin., station hand, native of Australia, medium build, dark hair and complexion, brown eyes, right side paralysed. Accused obtained £5 from Prank Rhodes by means of a valueless cinque, drawn on the Bank of New Zealand, Waipawa. (See Police Gazette, 1914, page 520.)

Napier. —2Bth June last, that he may be compelled to maintain his wife, Frank Oakley Skelton, age forty, height about 5 ft. sin., signwriter, native of New Zealand, slight build, fresh complexion, scar in centre of forehead. Complainant, Edith Skelton, Port Ahuriri.

Napier.— Since about the sth instant, that a summons may be served on him for a breach of his prohibition order, Peter Chalmers, age fortv-five, height 5 ft. B|in., seaman and labourer, native of Scotland, medium build, fresh freckled complexion, light auburn hair, grey eyes, very fair eyebrows, broken nose; blue dot between left thumb and forefinger, scar on top of head and on right hand, brown mark on chest and right thigh; cross-eyed. Hastings.— R. Wallis, theft: A warrant has now been issued for the arrest of R. W r . Allen, who sold the bicycle to J. W. Belz, second-hand dealer. He is identical with R. Wallis. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 520.)

Wanganui. —l2th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for three months in default of paying £2O arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his family, Charles Stewart Royle, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 6Jin., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark hair and complexion, grey eyes, large nose, soar on left knee; dressed in a dark suit and grey cap. Masterton.— 2oth January last, on warrant of commitment to military custody for ten davs in default of paving £1 fine and costs fora breach of the Defence Act, Roy Falloon, age twentv, height about 5 ft. 6 in., labourer and groom, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair oomphxion, blue eyes, bad teeth, sharp features; frequents billiardrooms.

Wellington. —9th instant, on warrant for deserting from tbe s.s. “ Corinthie," W. Warn, age twenty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in., cook, native of England, slight build, fresh complexion, fair hair and moustache.

Wellington. —Bth instant, on warrant for deserfing from the s.s. “Corinthie,” W. Harrison, age about thirty-eight, height about 5 ft. 6 in., seaman, native of England, medium build, florid complexion, sandy hair, bowlegged.

Wellington.— 2Bth ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for three months in default of paying £B3 Is. sd. arrears due on a maintenance oider for the support of his four children, Frederick Blacklidge. age thirty-one, height 5 ft. 9Jin., labourer, native of England, medium build, dark complexion, dark curly hair, brown eyes; red butterfly on each upper arm, claspM bands on right wrist, woman on right thigh, woman and child on right calf, darning girl on chest. Westport. —Bth June last, on warrant of commitment to Picton Gaol for seven days in default of paying £1 10s. fine and costs for assisting a prohibited person to procure liquor, Thomas O’Connor, age fifty, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of Ireland, thin freckled face, fair hair, red moustache. Greymouth.— Since 1908, that he may be compelled to maintain his illegitimate child, an inmate of the Wellington Receiving Home, Augustus Hodgkinson, age thirty-two, height 5 ft. 7 in., caipenter, native of New Zealand, slim build, dark hair, light-brown moustache, round red lace, high forehead. Christchurch.— Bth April last, that a summons may be served upon him for false pretences, Edward Elijah Pardoe, age about twenty-eight, height about 5 ft. 7 in., labourer and cooper, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair hair.

Christchurch. —6th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his illegitimate child, an inmate of the Christchurch Receiving Home, Thomas O’Malley, age about thirtythree, height sft. lOin., native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair.
