Newton. —10th instant, EDMUND TYNE’S dwelling was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : A lady’s silver open-face keyless watch ; a gold muff-chain with a gold ball every 6 in.; a nickel-plated six-chamber revolver and some cartridges ; and about £3 10s. in money : total value, £7 15s. Identifiable except money.

Auckland. —12th instant, from a taxi-cab the property of JOHN WHITESIDE, a double-size grey white-striped Roslyn rug ; value, £1 ss. Identifiable.

Napier. —Between Ist and 4th July last, from Charles Doughty’s bedroom in the Westshore Hotel, a 15 ct. double gold watch-chain, similar to illustration No. 15 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2, but has a small chain woven round some of the links ; and a 9 ct. gold heart-shaped medal with ferns on face : total value, £6. Identifiable.

Palmerston North. —About 10th instant, from a shed on WILLIAM SYDNEY KEHELY’S farm, a black rubbertired Bradby gig, splash-boards broken at back, one shaft split near body; a set of black light-gig harness, saddle has been repaired ; and a nearly new colonial riping-saddle with horse-shoe-like buckles : total value, £lB. Wellington. —7th ultimo, from Victoria Street, the property of THOMAS JOY, a gentleman’s black-enamelled 24 in. bicycle, No. 165134, upturned handles with white grips, steel rims and pedals, back-pedal brake, Brooks saddle ; value, £4. Identifiable.

Ashburton. —About 3rd instant, from a hut, the property of HERBERT DAY, a pair of snips, a carpenter’s line, a smoothing-plane, a rip-saw with a hole in the handle, four | in. to 1 in. bits, a ratchet-brace, a hammer with two small pieces out of face, and a rehandled spade; total value, £2 6s. 3d. Methven. —Between 7th and 9th instant, the schoolroom was broken into, and the following money, the property of the Rev. EDWARD POWELL, stolen therefrom : A number of coppers, and some threepenny and sixpenny pieces ; total value, 14s. Identification doubtful.

Dunedin. —About 26th ultimo, BURTON BROS.’ shop was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : Five horse-clipping machines, with “ The Stewart Chicago Clipper, made by Chicago Flexible Shaft Co., Chicago, U.S.A. Patented in the United States and Great Britain,” on them ; total value, £lO 12s. 6d. Identification doubtful.

Caversham. —lsth instant, from ALEXANDER McKINLAY’S bedroom, a gentleman’s 15 ct. gold curb double watch-chain (bar missing) with a round locket attached ; and a gentleman’s 9 ct. goid open-face keyless watch, number supposed to be 38773 or 38778 : total value, £l6. Identifiable.
