Los Angeles (California, U.S.A.). —Inquiry is requested for Edward R. Neubert, who arrived in New Zealand in 1886 from Sydney. He is an American, about sft. 8| in., weight about 1651 b., dark-brown eyes, heavy black mous, tache, a tinsmith, formerly employed by Ely and Co.Limited, Sydney. He may have assumed the name Ross, or Roberts. Inquiry by his brother, Theodore H. Neubert, 624 Bumiller Building, 430 South Broadway. (P. 14/226.)

Canbelego (New South Wales). —A warrant has been issued by the Canbelego Bench for the arrest of Robert Campbell, charged with child-desertion. He is twentyseven years of age, 5 ft. 11 in. high, medium build, brown hair, clean-shaved, a miner or labour. Sydney (New South Wales). A warrant has been issued by the Water Police Bench for the arrest of Herbert Franklin, charged with disobeying a magisterial order for the support of bis child (£22 due). He is thirty-seven years of age, 5 ft. 7 in. high, stout build, fair complexion and hair, moustache only ; dressed in a blue-serge suit, and black hard hat. Said to have coma to New Zealand. A warrant has been issued by the Central Police Bench, Sydney, for the arrest of James Smith, better known as “ Twanger ” or “ Twanger Jim,” charged with maliciously damaging a plate-glass window to tbe extent of £2, the property of Sydney Ellercamp, White Lion Hotel, Riley and Goulburn Streets, Sydney. Offender is about twenty-six years of age, sft. 10in. high, thin build, fair hair, thin features, cleanshaved; believed to have come to New Zealand. Beaconsfield (Tasmania). —Joseph Savage is charged on warrant issued on the 29th ultimo by J. Crawford, Esq., J.P., for that he on the 11th March, 1911, at Beaconsfield, in the State of Tasmania, bemg a person of sufficient means, did, without lawful or reasonable cause or excuse, desert his wife, Ada Clara Savage. Description : Age forty-one years, height about 6 ft., stout build, dark complexion, dark-brown hair, round face, low forahead, brown eyes, a native of New Devonport, Tasmania. Likely to be found at Lyttelton, New Zealand. (See Tasmanian Police Gazette, 1914, page 115.) If located in this Dominion a telegraphic communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington, for instructions as to the desirability of his arrest here.
