PROPERTY STOLEN.

Takapuna. Between 7.30 p.m. and 10 30 p.m. on the 14th instant, the dwelling cf OLIVE THODE was broken into, and the following articles stolen : A lady’s open-face gold watch, embossed back, three initials inside back case ; an oblong cut-glass pin-holder with silver lid, gold-wasbed inside ; a small round clock in a shamrock ; a gold brooch in the form of a spray of flowers ; and a black-leacber handbag containing an old purse and between £3 and £4 in gold and silver: total value of property apart from cash, £6. Identifiable.

Newton. —l6th instant, from the shop of HEINRICH ENGEL, musician, 27 Ponsonby Road, a new B-flat clarionet, maker Kohler and Son, Graslitz; value, £5. Identifiable.

Auckland.— JAMES LEAMING’S stolen coat : John Nolan has been arrested for this offence by Acting-Detective Cummings, Auckland police. The stolen property has not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1913, page 409.)

Wellington—Between 7.30 p.m. on the 27th ultimo and 9 a.ra. on f&fe sth instant a whare at Happy Valley was broken into, and the following articles stolen : The property of ALFRED WILLIAM GRIMROD, a -38 bore Winchester repeating rifle, barrel has been shortened 2 in., value £2 10s., identifiable ; the property of WILLIAM DOBSON, two pairs of grey blankets, and a pair of Territorial boots, size 8, plain toes, heavy make, identifiable, total value £3 Is. 6d. ; tne property of THOMAS CUNDLIFFE, a -22 bore Winchester rifle, thumb trigger, value 155., not identifiable; the property of WILLIAM MEYER, a blue blanket, value 10s., identifiable; the property "of ERNEST COYLE, a coloured check rug, value £l, not identifiable.

Murchison. —On or about the 10th April last, on the s.s. “Pateena,” the property of ANNIE M. NEWMAN, Owen Junction Hotel, Murchison, a lady’s 18 ct. gold ring, claw-set with three diamonds and three sapphires; a brown chamois leather purse, “A. M. Newman ” stamped on it; a gold curb bangle with lock attached ; a gold neck-chain with heart attached; and £22 in money: total value, £44 10s. Suspicion is attached to Mrs. Rhodes and Mrs. Rick, both residents of Masterton, who had access to the missing property.

Christchurch. —4th ultimo, from His Majesty’s Theatre, the prop rty of VINCENT FUSS, groom, care of Brake’s Stables, Durham Street, a gefitleman’s Bell bicycle, No. 3751, fixed wheel, steel rims and pedals, celluloid mudguards ; value, £lB. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —l9th April last, from Colombo Street, the property of P. LYNSKEY, farmer, 44 Tweed Street, Richmond, a gentleman’s Royal Club Swift bicycle, Nos. 18417 and 509350, steel rims and mud guards, free wheel, upturned handles with black grips, ruboer pedals ; value, £ls. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —27th ultimo, from outside the Albion Football Club rooms in High Street, the property of WILLIAM ROBERT TURNER, tinsmith, 33 Wilmer Street, a gentleman’s Anglo Special bicycle, No. 22363, steel rims and pedals, free wheel, back-pedalling brake; value, £lO. Identifiable. Dunedin. —PETER DICK’S stolen property: The following articles have been misled in addition to those previously described : A 9 ct. gold locket, a 9 ct. solid gold cross, a greenstone Tangawai pendant, a gold cat and gold-fish trinket, and a gold crescent brooch with enamelled leaf set with pearls ; total value, £5 ss.
