Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). —Between the 17th and 19th ultimo, from the s.s. “ Kanieri,” the property of HENRY SPENCER CLIST, commercial traveller, William Street, Devonport, a brown Gladstone bag, 28 in., addressed “Northern Roller Mills, Auckland ; a grey suit; a pair of white-canvas shoes, size 7 ; three shirts; two pairs of woollen underpants ; three pairs of black socks ; a suit of pyjamas ; and a number of handkerchiefs and socks: total value, £8 ss. Suspicion is attached to Arthur McKegney, age thirty, height 5 ft. 6 in., flax-mill hand, native of New Zealand, dark complexion, stout build ; well dressed in dark suit and black hard hat.

Dod ” engraved under buckle; a thin gold ring, 3et with single diamond, in old-fashioned setting ; two 9 ct. gold rings, one set with a moonstone, and the other v>ith two blue sapphires ; a 9 ot. gold ring, sec with a sapphire ; a long 15 ct. gold muff-chain, small plain links ; and a 15 ct. gold straight-bar brooch, with opal in centre, surrounded by small diamonds, with a small amethyst at one end : total value, £sl 10s.
