Sydney (New South Wales). Lost or stolen on the 14th ultimo, between Sydney and Bowral, by rail, the property of DR. A. SCOT-SKIRVING, Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, a double-barrelled Greener gun, No. 57249; value £ls. Inquiry is requested in New Zealand. (C.R. 13/136.)
Melbourne. —Wanted on warrants for being a rogue and a vagabond, and theft of a cheque for £4Bl ss. 4d. from Messrs. Davies and Campbell, solicitors, 267 Collins Street, Henry Brooks, alias Hewitt, alias Thompson, age about fifty, height about 5 ft. 7in., very square build, very grey hair and moustache ; dressed in grey clothes and a black boxer hat. (See New South Wales Photographs, 54/276, and Victorian Photographs, 4712.) He may have a £IOO note (No. 007176) and three £SO notes (Nos. 029517, 029518, and 029513). These are Commonwealth notes on the National Bank of Australia. If located he is to be kept under surveillance and telegraphic information sent to the Commissioner’s Office. (Pl3/486.)
