Auckland. —26th ultimo, from a bedroom at the Grand Hotel, the property of HARRY CORSON CLARK, actor, care of J. C. Williamson Company, four £IOO notes on Australian banks, two £SO notes on New Zealand banks, a £lO note on an Australian bank, about £5 in gold, £1 in silver, and a brown English-leather money-bag. Cambridge. —l7th ultimo, from the dwelling of LORA PEARCE in Victoria Street, a ladies’ rolled-gold hunting keyless Waltham watch, No. 10553201, private number scratched on inside of back case 5947, and a 9ct. gold muff-chain, fetter-and-oval pattern; total value, £l2. Watch only identifiable.

Gisborne. —JOHN KILMARTIN’S stolen money : It has been definitely ascertained that complainant had not more than half the money alleged to have been stolen. His story cannot be relied upon, and it is doubtful if the money was stolen at all. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 631.)

Gisborne. —lsth ultimo, from the dwelling of WILLIAM HENRY FOWLER and THOMAS HENRY HURST, carters, 584 Alvedeen Road, a gold-mounted ribbon watchguard, “ W. H. F.” engraved thereon, and about £2O in money, consisting of a £5 note, a single note, and the remainder in gold and silver : total value, £2l 15s. Guard and medal identifiable.

Stratford.— Between 18th and 20th January last, from a bedroom at the Junction Hotel, the property of WILLIAM GEOGHAN, blacksmith, Toko, a ladies’ open-face silver watch, a gold-mounted ribbon guard with gold heart in centre and gold hooks of different patterns at each end, a gold-mounted greenstone pendant, and a silver matchbox with a picture of either a woman’s or a dog’s head thereon; total value, £5. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to George Henderson, age forty, height 5 ft. 11 in., labourer and fireman, strong build, dark hair and complexion, tattooed on one forearm, wears a dark pointed beard; dressed in a well-worn dark suit and black hard hat.

Hawera. 22nd ultimo, from the Church of England, the property of the VENERABLE ARCHDEACON JAMES ROBERT CASSELL, a dull-copper alms-dish, about 18 in. in diameter, with embossed oross and fancy workings in centre; value, £5. Identifiable.

Hastings. Between 23rd and 29th January last, from a motor-car on the premises of JOHN FREDERICK TONKIN, motor agent, two four-volt accumulators (“ Halley ” or “ Haley ” scratched on top of each), a C.I.C. coil off a four-cylinder car, a volt-meter, and a small nickel motorhorn; total value, £l3 10s. Accumulators only identifiable.

Hastings. —26th January last, from a motor-car on the premises of MESSRS. HAWKINS AND ROME, motor agents, a Hart’s accumulator, four volts, 80 amps, in wooden case, “ Clime ” scratched on case ; and a very old Bhumel’s accumulator, six volts : total value, £4. Identification doubtful.

Palmerston North.— On or about the 6th ultimo, from the person of THEODORE ALHERS, bushman, oare of Manchester Hotel, Feilding, a £2O note on the Bank of New Zealand, No. 036784. Identifiable. Supposed stolen en route from Feilding to the Palmerston North Hospital.

Palmerston North.— About the Ist ultimo, from outside Burgess’s factory in Rangitikei Street, the property of LESLIE MILNE YULE, clerk, care of Adam Burgess, engineer, a gentlemen’s Nonpareil bicycle, No. 8891, blackenamelled, free wheel, upturned handles, rat-trap pedals, black-celluloid grips, Dunlop tires ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Wellington. —Between 21st and 23rd ultimo, from a bedroom in the Grand Hotel, the property of BESSIE LEHERTY, barmaid, a ladies’ gold hunting Geneva watch, No. 106615, scrolled case, no glass, bezel missing, with small gold bugle pendant attached by small fob chain about 3 in. in length ; a ladies’ round silver vanity-box about 2| in. in diameter; and round glass powder-box with silver top total value, £7. Identifiable.

Kumaka. Between 6th and 10th ultimo, from the dwelling of JESSIE HARRIS, a ladies’ 9ct. gold open-face keyless watch, maker “Fallows and C 0.,” set with imitation pearls in red enamel on baok; an 18 ct. gold muff-chain, about 3 ft. long, fancy trace pattern with very small links; and a ladies’ siiver-mounted brown crocodile-skin purse: total value, £5 12s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Alexander McDonald, age thirty, height sft. 10in., wagon-driver, stout build, dark complexion, ruddy face with scars on it; dressed in brown suit.

Lyttelton. —About 22nd November last, from the Union Steamship Company’s offices, the property of ALBERT JOHNSON, 16 Rainford Street, Sydney, a gentlemen’s Universal bicycle, No. 2287, 28 in. frame, free wheel, blackenamelled, two brakes ; value £ls. Identifiable.

Fowlds ” marked inside ; £lO 3s. 6d. in cash, consisting of seven £1 notes ; and a money-order for £3 3s. 6d., issued at Waikanae and payable at Christchurch to complainant.
