Queen Street Wharf (Auckland).— 27th ultimo, from the cabin of JOHN COPLAND, second officer of the s.s. “ Tofua,” a gentlemen’s 14 ot. gold American hunting Waltham watch, engraved case, “J. T. Copland” inside, and a 9 ct. gold chain, curb pattern, with a five-dollar gold piece attached ; total value, £25. Identifiable.
Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). 7th ultimo, from the Auckland Railway-station, the property of ROBERT R. ATKINSON, accountant, Prospect Terrace, Paeroa, a halfplate camera, in a brown canvas case, containing three slides and a box of Imperial plates, six oi which have been exposed ; value, £5 ss. Identifiable.
Auckland. —17th ultimo, from a cabin on the s.s. “ Makura ” the property of MRS. D. FERNIE, “ Chesterhope,” Pakowhai, Napier, a tailor-made coat of greenish - grey material, lined with green silk, green-velvet collar, large turned -back cuffs, and about six large pearl buttons, “Harrod’s Mantles, London 5.W.,” on tab; value, £B. Identifiable.
Auckland. —12th November last, from the premises of the Kauri Timber Company, the property of WILLIAM KIELY, labourer, 28 Napier Street, a gentlemen’s silver hunting Waltham lever watch, No. 16000353, “ U.S.A. on dial, a small dent on outside case; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.
Auckland.— 2lst Deoember last, from the Queen Street Wharf, the property of A. A. MARTIN, merchant, Fort Street a large brass motor-car head-lamp, maker’s name, “ Powell and Hanmer, Birmingham,” on brass plate on top; value, £3 10s. Identifiable.
Newton. —25th ultimo, from outside the shop of FRED ERICK HENRY McKAY, draper, 4 Ponsonby Road, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled Eureka bicycle, B.S.A. parts, free wheel, Eadie coaster hubs, 22 in. frame, straight handlebars, one grip missing ; value, £7. Identifiable.
Huntly. —29th December last, from the office of the Huntly Coal-mine Employees’ Union, the property of STEWART DIXON, the union secretary, a minute-book, 13 in. by 8 in. by ruled with money-columns, stiff red mottled cover (containing minutes of general and executive meeting of the union) ; a Graphic exeroise-book, No. 2, containing rough notes of meetings in pencil; a small patentleather handbag containing papers in connection with union business ; and thirteen envelopes, each containing 3s. 6d. in cash, with miners’ application-form enolosed ; all addressed to the secretary : total value, £2 15s. 6d. Identifiable, except money. Suspicion is attached to two men. First: Age about twenty-six, height about sft. Bin., slight build, dark hair, clean-shaven ; dressed in dark-brown suit, soft white shirt, hard black hat, and white handkerchief round throat. Second : Age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 10 in. ; dressed in blue suit and hard black hat. Suspects arrived in Huntly after dark on the 29th December, and had disappeared the next morning.
Wairoa. —17th ultimo, from a bedroom in the Wairoa Hotel, the property of HENRY JAMES HICKEY, trainer, Hastings, a gentlemen’s double-cased keyless silver English lever stop-watch, and an 18 ct. gold chain, cable pattern, with gold sovereign-case attached. The latter has “H. Hare ” cut on it. The chain is similar to illustration No. 15. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 2.) Total value, £2O 10s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Charles O’ Goughian, alias Charlie the Singer, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 6 in., spieler, supposed native of New Zealand, stout build, fresh complexion, full face ; dressed in brown suit and straw hat. A frequenter of race meetings. Suspect was seen in the hotel about the time the theft occurred.
Wairoa. —17th ultimo, from a bedroom in the Wairoa Hotel, the property of FRANCIS JOSEPH FLYNN, jockey, Hastings, a gentlemen’s open-face silver stop-watch, a rolledgold chain with small links, with a brown-leather sovereigncase attached, and a rolled-gold heart-shaped locket containing sovereigns and photographs of complainant’s parents ; total value, £6 4s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Charles O'Loughlan, alias Charlie the Singer. (For description see preceding paragraph.)
Napier. —lßth December last, from the engine-room at the Hospital, the property of FREDERICK JONES, electrician, 63 Marine Parade, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled bicycle, No. 40998, nickel-plated rims, upturned handles, rim-brake on front wheel, “ Willis Special ” tires, Eadie coaster back-pedalling brake; value, £6 10s. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —22nd ultimo, from the shop of THOMAS VOYCE, jeweller, Colombo Street, a ladies’ 18ct. gold ring, claw-set with four rubies and six diamonds, may be marked A/R/D inside; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with four sapphires and a diamond ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with a single diamond, buckle pattern, F/o/o scratched inside ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, claw-set with three sapphires and four diamonds; a ladies’ 18ct. gold ring, set with two diamonds and two rubies ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with one ruby and two diamonds ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with two diamonds and two sapphires; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, claw-sec with five garnets ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, claw-set with three garnets; a ladies’ 18ct. gold ring, set with one sapphire and several small diamonds; a ladies’ 18ct. gold ring, set with one ruby and two diamonds; a ladies’lß ct. gold ring, set with one ruby and two diamonds, solid setting ; also fourteen other rings, description not obtainable, and a 9 ct. gold two-bar brooch, set with three topazes and two clusters of pearls: total value, about £2O.
