APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.
Auckland. — Theodore Paulgrain, breach of prohibition order, has paid the amount of the fine to Constable Murphy, Freeman’s Bay police. His correct name is Theodore Poulgrain. (See Police Gazette , 1912, page 305.)
Auckland. — William Henry Ward, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable Mclntyre, Newton police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 217.)
Auckland. — Elizabeth Brady, failing to provide, has been found at Wanganui by Constable Connor, on information supplied by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 525.)
Hamilton. — Thomas Twidle, absconding from bail, has been arrested by Constable Ingram, Huntly police, and remanded to Hamilton. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 2.)
Te Akoha.— Robert McQuay, default of fine and costs, has been served with a notice of fine by Constable Mackle, Te Aroha police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 317.)
Rakauroa (Napier). — James Gunn Leckie, default of maintenance, has been located by the Westport police, and a summons served on him. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 590.)
Ekktahuna. — John Patrick Connolly, wanted on warrant for deserting his illegitimate children, has been located by the Canterbury police at Bluecliffs Station, near St. Andrew’s. The complainant recently died in New South Wales, and inquiries are now in progress which may result in the warrant being cancelled. The children are at present in New South Wales. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 147.)
Wellington.— J. P. Gillmore, alias Paul Barron, alias Bernard Terasco, false pretences and conspiring to defraud, was arrested by the Melbourne police and discharged there as the Magistrate refused to remand him to New Zealand. The offender G. M. Watt has not been arrested, and is residing in Melbourne; his correct name is believed to be Joseph Main, and that he is a brother-in-law to G-illmore. Wellington. — H. G. Ibett, deserting from the s.s. “ Arawa,” nas been arrested by Detective-Sergeant Mcllveney and Acting-Detective Bailey, Wellington police, on information .supplied by Acting-Detective Carney, Lyttelton police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, pages 3 and 66.)
Nelson. — George Brown, ship-desertion, has been arrested by Constables Townsend and Fitzsimmons, Nelson police, and placed on board the s.s. “ Orari.” (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 318.)
Granity. — Robert Hunter (known as Snowy Hunter), obscene language, has been served with a summons by Constable Anderson, Granity police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 568.)
Christchurch. — Anthony Devine, default of maintenance : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 352.)
Oamaru. Robert Lambert Waterworth, alias John Wildes, disobeying an order of Court, has been arrested by Constable Dunphy, Masterton police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 330.)
Invercargill. — John Miller, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by Constable Taylor, Wellington South police, and lodged in the Wellington Prison. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 318.)
Invercargill.— Alexander McKenzie, failing to provide, has been arrested by Constable Mathieson, Riverton police, on information supplied by Sergeant Emmerson, South Dunedin police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 58.)
Sydney. George Samuel Dwyer, alias George Ward, has been located by Constable Tanner at Pahiatua. He was going under the name of George Watson. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 529.)
Adelaide.— J. Cook, alias Norman Murray, alias Whitehouse, false pretences, has been arrested by the Victorian police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 332.) (O.R. 12/235.)
