APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland. Emily Jackman, breach of Licensing Act: It has been ascertained by Constable Dempsey, Wellington police, that she is now living with a man named Hackett at Island Bay, Wellington. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 471.)

Auckland.— Edward Niblock, absent without leave from ship, has been arrested by Acting-Detective Mason, Wellington police. His correct name is Samuel Niblock. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 35.)

Auckland. Walter Hood, deserter from H..M.S. “ Cambrian,” has been arrested by Sergeant Wohlmann and Constable Williamson, Waihi police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 335.)

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland).— Edward John Tipton, absent without leave from ship, has been arrested by Acting-Detective Mason, Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 557.)

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland).— Hugh Nipple, alias Hippie, absent from ship without leave, has been arrested by Constable Gourley, Queen Street Wharf police, and sentenced to fourteen days. He was going under the name of Harry Hewitt. (See Police Gazette, 1911, pages 557 and 577.)

Napier. — T. Yates, alias Albert Edward Victor Yates, alias Patrick Byrne, forgery and uttering, has been arrested by Sergeant Wohlmann, Waihi police, on information supplied bv Constable Johnson, Warkwortb police, and remanded. When arrested he was going under the name of Patrick Byrne. (See Police Gazette , 1911, page 515.)

Mangaweka. — Stephen Carkeek, default of maintenance, has been located by Detective Kemp, Wellington police, on information supplied by Constable J. R. Easson, Mangaweka police, and a summons served on him. (See Police Gazette , 1911, page 558.)

Palmerston North. Mary Mudford, disobeying maintenance order, has been located by Constable Mullooly, Wellington police, on information supplied by Constable Taylor, Wellington South police. She is now married to Ernest Howan, and living in Wellington. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 516.)

Wellington.— William Wi Katene, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constables Carmody and Gregor, Carterton police, and remanded. When arrested he was going under the name of William McCartney. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 4.)

Wellington.— William Watts, deserter from the s.s. ‘Remuera,” has been arrested by Acting-Detective Mason, Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 590.)

Christchurch.— Robert Goodman Telfer, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by Sergeant Dale, Newmarket police, and lodged in Auckland Prison. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 36.)

Timaru. — Philip Kissell, breaking and entering, has been arrested by Constable Herlihy and Acting-Detective Carroll, Waikaia and Invercargill police, on information supplied by the Christchurch police. He was going under the name of Philip Arnold. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 568.)

Waimate. — Man, name unknown, charged with theft of money from John Ranson: Philip Kissell has been ar rested for this offence. (See preceding paragraph, and Police Gazette, 1912, page 4.)

Dunedin. — William John Hatch, absent from ship without leave, has been arrested by Acting-Detective Mason, Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 66.)

Invercargill.— John Ritchie, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable O’Grady, Havelock police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 148.)
