Auckland. —sth instant, from the dwelling of WILLIAM COCKROET, No. 77 Customs Street West, a curly puriri walking-stick, walrus-tusk in handle (which is crutchshaped), a very wide silver band on top and near the joint. The stick is of a yellowish colour, encircled throughout by brown rings ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Auckland. Between the 27th and 29th ultimo, from JAMES CORNELIUS BARRINGER, in the dwelling of Margaret Cleaver, alias Ingram (see Police Gazette, 1911, pages 129, 322, and 511), a gentlemen’s silver lever huntmgwatch, No. 103731, “Forbes, Wanganui,” on dial, “ S.H. H.” and “J.C. B.” scratched on inside of case, silver curb chain, Jubilee sixpence, and silver - mounted greenstone pendant attached ; a silver hunting keyless Waltham watch, No. 9333562, “ J. C. B.” scratched on inside of case : value, £9. Also £4 10s. in sovereigns and silver.

Waiuku. —On or about the Ist October last, from the farm of ALFRED WILLIAM MOSLEN, farmer, a medium draught roan colt, three years old, 14 hands high, white face and legs, white patch on one flank, old collar-mark, on neck, value £3O; a thick-set bay mare with black points, about eight {years old, 14 hands high, white spot on forehead, short tail, value £l2. Identifiable.

Hamilton. —Bth or 9th instant, from the bedroom of ROY BENJAMIN JAGGERS, mill hand, a small keyless metal open-faced watch, “Violet Munro ” scratched on back of case, value 10s. ; and about £1 3s. in silver. Suspicion attached to a Man, name unknown, age about twenty-four, height about 5 ft. 10 in., supposed farm labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark hair parted at side, dark complexion, thin sharp features, prominent nose, large eyes, clean-shaved; dressed in dark suit and straw hat with black band.

Inglewood. —4th ultimo, from a paddock at Ratapiko, the property of J. SIMONS, sawmiller, a dark-bay heavydraught horse, aged, Roman nose, white star on forehead, “B ” branded on shoulder ; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Mart-tin.— l9th ultimo, from the bedroom of ROBERT McBETH, stock-buyer, Marton, a gentlemen’s silver openfaced keyless lever watch, “ Bower and Ferguson ” on dial, “ R. Mcßeth ” engraved on outside of back case, number unknown (see No. 4 in Police Gazette illustrations of watches); value, £5. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Arthur Morgan, age thirty, height 5 ft. 7 in., groom, native of New Zealand, slight build, jockey appearance, cleanshaved, brown hair and eyes, sunburnt complexion; dressed in saddle-tweed riding-pants and brown-leather leggings, dark coat, and hard black hat or cap ; fond of drink. Pahiatua. —lsth instant, from the bedroom of JAME BROWN, Mangaramarama, a Post-office Savings-bank book; a brown-leather pocket-book, value 3s. 6d. ; a cheque-book on the Bank of New Zealand, Pahiatua, Nos. 884163 to 884186; and a pair of men’s grey-striped trousers, resembling dungaree material, value 4s. 6d. Identifiable.

Wellington. —26th ultimo, from a bedroom in the Palace Hotel, Willis Street, Wellington, the property of FREDERICK WILLIAM LOWRY, labourer, No. 49 Oxford Street, Dunedin, a gentlemen’s silver hunting English lever watch, number unknown, “A. R. Lowry, Begg Street, Musselburgh, St. Kilda, Dunedin,” engraved on inside of front case; a gold-mounted greenstone chain, gold shield in centre, fern engraved on shield (a gold locket attached to shield, with heart engraved on locket) ; a ribbed silver match-box: value, £lO. Christchurch. —23rd ultimo, from the Workingmen’s Club, the property of RICHARD HAMWORTH, commercial traveller, a gentlemen’s Swift free-wheel bicycle, No. 160403, steel rims and pedals, 24 in. frame, celluloid mud-guards, one grip missing ; value, £B. Identifiable.

Christchurch.-— Bth instant, from the Midland Cricket Ground, the property of W. A. HENDERSON, telegraphist, a gentlemen’s Star bicycle, No. 4879, B.S.A. parts, Brooks saddle, one grip missing ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Riccarton. —loth instant, from the Bush Inn Hotel, the property of NORA BURKE, barmaid, a ladies’ greenishcoloured rainproof coat, green-coloured bone buttons (one missing in front), check-pattern lining; value, £2. A sovereign, a sixpence, and a monthly tram ticket with “ Miss N. Burka ” on it were in the pocket of the coat.

Timaru. —3rd instant, from a yard at Maori Hill, the property of GEORGE MOSON, horse-dealer, a bay hack gelding, five years old, 16 hands high, both knees slightly marked, shod all round, in good condition, switch tail ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —6th instant, from the Imperial Private Hotel, the property of ROBERT DORMAN, labourer, a nickel watch, with chain and gold medal attached, value £1 10s.; and a razor, the property of WILLIAM HENRY VICKERS, value ss. Suspicion attached to P. Davis, alias Grant, who was boarding at the above hotel. Description : Age twentyeight, height 5 ft. 4 in., a circus hand, fair complexion, clean-shaved; dressed in dark suit, and f was wearing an old pair of tan boots. The gold medal and razor were sold at Dunedin on the above date by a man who gave the name of P. Davis, and answers the description of the suspect.

Dunedin. —lßth ultimo, between the Library and High Street, the property of ESTER HART, High Street, a ladies’ small black leather bag, containing 10s. in silver and a ladies’ gold hunting silver lever Rotherham watch, No. 2789; value, £5. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —lßth ultimo, from the s.s. “Ulimaroa,” the property of MARGARET GILKISON, a long reddish-brown sable fur, with dark-brown satin lining, thick gilt chain, and hook for fastening at front, numerous taiD at end and down the front at intervals. It is wide at the shoulders resembling a cape, some of the stitching of the lining has given way where the chain is attached; value £2O. Identifiable.
