Sydney. —William Henry Davey, wanted on warrant for bigamy : Offender’s arrest is not at present desired, but, if located, he is to be kept under surveillanoe and an immediate communication sent to the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 175.) (11/796.)

Sydney.— A warrant has been issued at the Central Police Court for the apprehension of Joseph James Gambetta for leaving his illegitimate child, William Frederick Mullins, without means of support at Sutherland since lOch January last. Description: Age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 4 in. or 5 in., stout build, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes ; generally dressed in greenish suit and black hard hat; a labourer. He is supposed to have come to New Zealand, where his relatives reside. If located, he is to be kept under surveillance and an immediate communication sent to the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington, before further action is taken. (11/1192.)

Sydney.—A warrant has been issued by the Water Police Bench for the arrest of George Michael, charged with wife-desertion. He is forty-three years of age, 5 ft. 51 in. high, native of Assyria, rather stout build, dark complexion, Jewish appearance, dark hair turning grey, dark-brown moustache; dresses well; a watchmaker and jeweller; generally canvasses country districts. Complainant, Ethel Michael, 403 Sussex Street, Sydney. Offender, who is identical with Jarburji Harji, alias George Michael, referred to m New Zealand Police Gazette, 1899, pages 97 and 121, conducted a business at 206 High Street, Christchurch, until about June, 1910. He was last heard of at Brisbane, Queensland, but spoke of coming to Rotorua, for health reasons. Hobart (Tasmania).— lnquiry is requested to ascertain the whereabouts of Norman Davidson, age about twentyfour, height 5 ft. 6 in., carpenter, medium build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes, front teeth artificial, bandylegged. His wife, who resides at 155 Argyle Street, Hobart, has been left without adequate means of support. He was last heard of at Christchurch, about twelve months ago. Inquiry by the Attorney-General, Hobart, through the Tasmanian police. (11/797.)

Croydon (England).— lnquiry is requested for Leslie or John Warren, age eighteen, height about 5 ft. 8 in. farm hand, native of England, slight build, fair complexion, small features. He received an assisted passage to New Plymouth, per s.s “Turakina,” from London to Wellington, in November last, and wrote from Wellington to his parents He had a money-order for £lO payable at New Plymouth and was instructed to call at the Labour Bureau there. Inquiry by the Under-Secretary, Department of Internai Affairs, on behalf of William C. K. Warren, 19 Hathaway Road, Croydon. (11/1269.)

New York (U.S. A.). —lnquiry is requested by the New York police for the under-mentioned persons, who are wanted for grand larceny and robbery of stocks and bonds, aggregating $85,000, which they obtained by knocking down a stockbroker and using the “ switch ” game, changing the package dropped by him and substituting a similar one containing useless paper. First : Chester Yates, alias Cy Yates, alias Clayton, alias George lYriffht, age twenty-three, height sft. 7f in., weight 1211 b., brown hair, hazel eyes, sandy complexion, native of Missouri, bell-boy. Second: Charles Ross, alias Charles Murphy, age thirty, height 5 ft. s§in., weight 1141 b., light-brown hair, grey eyes, medium oomplexion, mole on left cheek, native of New York City, bar-tender.
