Auckland. ---Michael Connor, deserter from H.M.S. “ Challenger ” : Offender’s arrest is no longer desired, as he lias been discharged from His Majesty’s service by order of the Commander-in-Chic-f. He has assumed the name Jack Buckley, and is now employed at the Central Fire Brigade Station, Christchurch. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 47.)
Auckland. —Robert Barker, issuing a valueless cheque to Maurice O’Connor, has been arrested by Sergeant R. Lanigan, Newton police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 213.)
Hamilton.— Robert Barker, fa'se pretences on Allen McDonald, has been arrested by Sergeant R. Lanigan, Newton police. (See I’olice Gazette, 1911, page 213 and preceding paragraph.)
Taumarunui. William Boyes, unlawfully selling pamphleis on a train, has been served v\ith a summons by Detective A. G. Quartermain, Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 459.)
New Plymouth. — J. Lindon Turnbull, issuing a valueless cheque to Walter Little, has been arrested by Detective James Powell, Auckland police. He has acknowledged his identity with John Lionel Melva. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 231.)
Eltham. John Linden Turnbull, alias John Lionel Melva, issuing a valueless cheque to Ernest Clare, has been arrested by Detective James Powell, Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 232, and “Apprehensions, &c.,” this issue of Gazette.)
Waverley.— J. Lindon Turnbull, alias John Lionel Melva, issuing a valueless cheque t.o Edward John Miller, has been arrested by De.ective Janus Powell, Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, pages 161 and 232, and “ Apprehensions, &c.,” ibis issue of Gazette.)
Napier. —Joseph Bailey, alias Joe Trepo Youcasvitch, default of fine and costs, has been arrested uy ActingDetectives Osborn and Snow. He Lad assumed the name Joe Tripo. (See Police Gazette, 1911, [age 129.)
Wellington. —John Hunter Riddell, deserting the s.s. “ Ruapehu,” lias been arrested by Sergeant William Ramsay, Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police, on information supplied by Aeting-Detective M. Carney, Lyttelton police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, pegs 202.)
Wellington. — Jasper Arnold Moran, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by Constable H. C. Fitzsimmons, Wakefield police, on information supplied by the Wellington police. He has assumed the name Arthur James. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 254 )
Christchurch.— Joseph Daltry Billens, failing to comply with a maintenance oruer, has been arrested by Acting-Detectives Osborn and Snow, Christchurch police. Arrears paid. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 274.)
Timaru. — Charles Chisnal, theft from John Watson Campbell, has been arrested by Acting-Detectives Osborn and Snow, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 386, and 1911, pages 192 and 233.)
Timaru.— William Wentworth Ellis, alias Wentworth, default of maintenance : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1911, pages 174 and 202.)
Dunedin. - Charles Chisnal, brtaking and entering, has been arrested by Acting-Detectives Osborn and Snow, Christchurch police. (Sec Police Gazette, 1911, page 192, and “Apprehensions, &c.,” this issue of Gazette.)
Lumsdkn.— Robert McDonald, theft as a co-owner has been arrested by Detective D. Connolly, Dunedin police on information supplied by Constable J. W. G. Baird, Invercargill police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 254.)
Sydney. — Henry Wright, deserter from H.M.S. “Prometheus,” has been arrested at Sydney, mid handed over to the Naval authorities. (See Police Gazette, 1911. page 234.)
