APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland. — Thomas Jones, wife-desertion, has been arrested by Constable Mackintosh, Stratford police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 371.)

Pukekohe.— Thomas Jones, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable Mackintosh, Stratford police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 301.)

Thames. — Richard Evans : Distress warrant cancelled, and commitment warrant issued. (See Police . Gazette, 1910, page 515, an! Persons Wanted this issue of Gazette.)

Mohaka. — John Hayes, default of fine, has paid the amount due to the Hastings police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 381.)

Hastings.— Arthur Sowman, default of fine, has been arrested by Deteotive Connolly, Gisborne police, and lodged in Gisborne Prison. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 499.)

Hawera. — Ernest Lyons, obscene language, has been arrested by Constable Glouston, Normanby police, on information supplied by Constable Hadler, Hawera police, and charged also with assault. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 337.)

Eltham.— Thomas Stanley, alias E. Watson, theft, has been arrested by Detective T. Boddam and Constable Liston, New Plymouth police, on informaton supplied by Constable Wade, Eltbam police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 525.)

Wanganui. — James McLean, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Detective Quirke and Acting-Detective Sweeney, on a charge of false pretences. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 460.)

Wanganui. Charles Hart, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Constable D. Wilson, Wanganui police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 460.)

Wanganui.— Ernest Sweetman, failing to provide for his illegitimate child, has been arrested by Constable J. Mcßae, Raetihi police, and ordered to find surety for £SO or three months. Surety found. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 534.)

Raetihi. Alfred Kenrich, false pretences, has been arrested by Constable J. Fitzpatrick, Marton police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 2.)

Taihape. Alexander Lindsay, alias Yank, has been served with a summons by Detective Gibson, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 484.)

Palmerston North. Charles Holmes, theft, has been arrested by Sergeant Forster, Petone police, on information supplied by Detective Quirke, Palmerston North police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 2.)

Wellington. — Bruce McGregor McDonald, missing friend inquired for by his mother in New South Wales, has been committed to Porirua Mental Hospital. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 316.)

Wellington. Edward Reed, falss pretences, has been arrested by Detectives Ward and Gibson, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 312.) He is identical with Edward Joseph Reid. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 416, and 1910, page 526.)

Wellington. Tam Knudsen, ship - desertion, has been arrested by Constable Bagrie, Levin police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 515.)

Wellington. — Percy Godfrey Petherick, theft, has been arrested for another offence by Constable Lander, Te Awamutu police, and remanded. He was going under the name of Robeit King, and his identity was discovered by Constable McCarthy, Kihikihi police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 280.)

Wellington.— John Alfred Leonard Ohlsson, Fred Watkins, Sydney Victor Dalton Williams, T. Thomson, Donald Mackay, and Joseph Brooks, deserters from s.s. “ Star of Canada ” : Warrants cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 534.)

Greymouth.— William Bromley, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable O’Grady, Greymouth police. His correct name is William Harold. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 334.)

Christchurch.— Archibald Leckie, alias Walter Begg Cummock, default of fine and costs for drunkenness, has been arrested by Constable C. T. Bayliss, on information supplied by Constable O’Grady. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 124.)

Christchurch. — Wilson, theft of a£l note, has been charged with this offence by Acting-Detective Osborne, Christchurch police, and sentenced to fourteen days. He is identical with Samuel Wilson (see Police Gazette, 1910, page 519), and is now serving a sentence of six months on another charge. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 286.)

Christchurch.— Ernest Pegg, theft: Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 312.)

Timaru.— Walter Begg Cummock, alias Archibald Leckie, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable C. T. Bayliss, on information supplied by Constable O’Grady. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 78.)

Dunedin.— Bertram Keith Wilkinson, wife-deser-tion, has been arrested by Acting-Detective Osborn, Christchurch police. (Se 9 Police Gazette, 1909, page 246.)

Sydney.— Samuel J. Blackwood, deserter from H .M.S. “ Powerful ” : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 442.)

Sydney.— William John Seal, deserter from H.M.S“Encounter,” surrendered himself to Constable Cooper) Napier police. The naval authorities declined to take him back. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 294.)
