,-<Auckland. —Hugh Thorn, default of maintenance, has been arres ed by Constable A. Macintosh, Stratford police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 371.)

Mercer. — Man, name unknown, charged with theft: Robert Henry, alias Henry Robert Chappell, has been arrested by Constable Holliday, Eden Terrace police, for this offence, and committed for trial. (See Police Gazette , 1910,

..-New Plymouth.— James John Lyttelton, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable Flanagan, Hawera police, and lodged in prison. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 116.)

Shannon.— Samuel ‘Westrupp, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable C. King, Palmerston North police, and lodged in prison. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 116.)

Wellington.— Frank Berry, default of maintenance: Warrant cancelled by request of complainant. (Sec Police Gazette, 1910, page 382.)

L'Christchurch.— William Burns, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable Mayne, Lincoln police, and balance of fine paid. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 392.)

— John Walter Warwick, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Detective F. S. Cox and Acting-Detective J. Sweeney, Auckland police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 402.)

Lincoln.— Donald McDonald, absconder from industrial school, has been arrested by Constable F. Baker, Dunedin police, and returned to the schcoi. (See Police Gazetteyl9oß, page 297.)

Port Chalmers. — Michael Heavey, deserter from H.M.S. “Pioneer”: It has been ascertained by Sergeant Beattie, Taihape police, that offender returned on board his ship. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 5.)

Sydney. —Leonard Battrum, deserter from H.M.S. “ Encounter,” is now on board his ship, (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 59,)
