Wellington. —lsth November last, on warrant for deserting his wife, Mary Ann Robertson, at Wellington, James Ruskin Robertson (known as Robby), age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 10in., labourer, broad shoulders, hair inclined to be red, bluish-grey eyes, prominent nose, projecting ears, musical and fdnd of singing. He deserted his wife and infant child on above date, and was supposed to have gone to the Gisborne district, bushfelling, but no trace of him can be obtained there, /

Wellington. —2oth April last, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison, for twenty-four hours in default of paying Bs. fine and f for being absent without leave from a parade of the' Hejretaunga Mounted Rifles on above date, Ralph Bal@omJbe, age seventeen, height 5 ft. 9in., labourer and triiq/heiy native of New Zealand, very slim build, very fair mair/and complexion, grey eyes, cleanshaved ; usually we<m:s dark suit and cap. Offender shipped as trimmer on the s.s. “ Rangattira ” for London, and to return to Ns,w Zealand. f D/'* Gkeymouth. —l3th instant, on warrant of commitment to Hokitika Prison for one month on the charge of being idle and disorderly, John Aubrey Nichols, age about twentysix, height about 6 ft., spieler, native of New Zealand, strong build, fair complexion, dark hair, full face, clean-shaved, smart active appearance; usually well dressed in light-grey tweed suit, a heavy double-breasted overcoat, and small black hard hat or cap ; frequents racecourses. Offender was charged on summons, and failed to appear.

Christchurch. —7th instant, on warrant for disobeying an order of the Qburt to pay 7s. 6d. a week towards the maintenance of child, John Page, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 9^-in., labourer, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, brown hafir arid eyes, small nose, scars on both hands; usually weai4 navy-blue serge suit, soft shirt, and cap. He left the threshing-machine lie was Employed on account of an injury to his back, and was last heard of on 11th April at Temuka or Timaru.

Dunedin. —2oth instant, on warrant for disobeying an order of the Court to pay 10s. a week towards the support of his wife, Thomas Hedley Simpson Fairbairn, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 6 in., farmer, native of New Zealand, medium build, reddish complexion and hair, reddish moustache, blue eyes, scar on left side of face. His parents reside at Highcliff, near Dunedin, and be has relatives in the Hutt district. Arrears due to 15th instant, £6 10s.
