APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland. — John William McCracken, disobeying order of Court, has been arrested by Constable O’Hara, Papakura police, on information supplied by Constable McIvor, New Plymouth police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 123.)

Whakatane. — George Croon, breach of prohibition order, has been served with a summons by Constable Pratt, Gisborne police, on information supplied by Constable Doyle, Te Karaka police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 105.)

V .-Napier. — James Johnston, gambling in a train, has been served with a notice of fine by Constable D. Wilson, Wanganui police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 213.)

Napier. — Charles Wallace, wanted that a summons may be served on him for gambling on a train: It has been ascertained by Detective J. Cassells, Wellington police, that offender has been committed for trial at Sydney for till-rob-beries. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 158.)

'Napier. — Edward Henry, breach of prohibition order, has been located at Waipawa by Constable T. Wilton, and a summons served on him. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 105.)

'Napier.— Augustus Gogan, alias Gagan, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable A. Ede, Feilding police, on information supplied by Constable Conner, Wanganui police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 311.)

Ongaonga.— Harry Lord, theft, has been arrested by Constable Hattie and Detective Quirke, Palmerston North police, on information supplied by Constable Esson, Shannon police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 420.)

Stratford.— Henry Charles Adolphus Williamson has been arrested by Acting-Detective D. Cameron, Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 420.) He is identical with Paul Henry Mercier, alias Henry Charles Mallet Adolphus Moore. (See Police Gazette, 1909, pages 86 and 486, and 1910, page 146.)

Mangaweka. — Richard Collis, alias Bourne, false pretences, has been arrested by Constable C. Murphy, Auckland police, and sentenced to fourteen days. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 203, and following paragraph.)

£ Wellington.— Mary Sprowell, default of fino, has been arrested by Constable R. Ryan, Spit (Napier) police, on information supplied by Detective W. Hill and Constable P. Doyle, Napier and Mount Cook police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 158.;

Wellington. — John Williamson, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Constable T. Mahoney, Mount Cook polioe, and sentenced to one month. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 26.)

Wellington. — George Harold Tobin, deserting from H.M.S. “Challenger,” has been arrested by Constable F. Claydon, Auckland police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 487.)

Christchurch.— Ernest Mathews, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable W. Richardson, Lyttelton police, and lodged in Lyttelton Prison. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 182.)

Christchurch.— Harry Hills, wife-desertion, has been arrested by Constable Cudby, Christchurch police, on information supplied by Constable J. F. Cleary. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 214.)

Christchurch. Askew, theft, has been arrested by Constable J. Farrell, Reefton police, on information supplied by the Greymouth police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 204.)

Christchurch.— Jack McKenzie Hay, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Sydney police, on information supplied by Detective Gibson, Christchurch police, and extradited to New Zealand. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 378.)

Kaiapol John Attewell, disobeying order, has paid £ls to Constable Herlihy, Waikaia police, and the warrant of arrest is suspended for three months. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 116.)
