Auckland. —l3th ultimo, from a lavatory on the Main Trunk Express between Papatoetoe and Auckland, the property of MATTHEW THOMAS RUSSELL, railway employee, Wellington, an 18 ct. plain gold wedding-ring ; an uB ct. gold keeper-ring, “ E. G. R.” engraved thereon ; and a ladies’ 18 ct. gold dress ring, set with three diamonds and two rubies : value, £25. Identifiable.
Auckland. — 20th ultimo, from a bedroom at the Vicarage, Mount Albert, Auckland, the property of ANNIE EDITH LAMBE, housekeeper, a ladies’ gold open-faced watch, No. 99440, “A. E. L.” inscribed on outside, value £9; a ladies’ 9ct. gold albert, twisted pattern, bar at one end, round ball of gold holding chain in centre, pendant attached, value £3 ; a gentlemen’s light silver curb chain, with a sovereign-ease and a bunch of about seven keys attached, value 15s. Identifiable.
Rawene. —11th ultimo, from the whare of ALFRED BANNA and RICHARD CORNLETT, labourers, Waima, a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold band ring with raised fern thereon, value 15s. ; and a white-silk handkerchief with a blue or red border, value Is. Identifiable. Also a£s note, four £1 notes, six sovereigns, and 15s. in silver. Suspicion attached to Moka Epere, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, copper complexion, black hair, dark-brown eyes, flat nose, slim build, small dark moustache only. Gisborne.—2nd ultimo* from Bright Street, the property of FRANK McßßEFNmabinetmaker, a gentlemen’s blackenamelled No. 2231-3 value, £l2 10s. Identifiable.
Te Karaka. —lsth ultimo, from the whare of GEORGE COLE, labourer, a worn brown-leather purse, containing £3 in notes, a sovereign, two half-sovereigns, and receipts signed “ T. A. Coleman ” ; also a gentlemen’s gold ring, with raised portion for initials on which there are three faint scratches ; value, £2. Ring only identifiable.
Normanby. —l7th or 18th ultimo, the property of HARRY WHALEN, farmer, Okaiawa, a colonial riding-saddle, well worn, new D and strap on front, new stirrup-irons and leathers, horse-slice stamped on outside of near flap, newly lined ; and a new brown saddle-cloth: value, £2 16s. Identifiable.
Patea. —24th ultimo, from the dwelling of WILLIAM FOWLER, hotelkeeper, Alton, a small wooden drawer, varnished yellow, 6 in. long and 3 in. deep, containing a cheque for £2 on Bank of Australasia, Patea, No. 204453, dated 21st ultimo, in favour of F. Niche!, signed ‘‘Patea West Road Board,” aud indorsed on back by F. Nichel; a cheque for £1 on Bank of New South Wales, Patea, dated 23rd March, 1910, in favour of W. Fowler, and signed “ Patrick McCarthy ” ; also £1 in silver and copper.
Marton.— 26th ultimo, the property of ALBERT H. SUTCLIFFE, draper, a gentlemen’s Osmond bicycle, No. R 7056, free wheel, mud-guards on both wheels, small rusty bell on handle-bar ; valfie, £5. Identifiable.
Wellington.— £so Kewajfd. Between the 27th and 30th ultimo the New >Zealaryi Academy of Fine Arts was broken into, entrance/being infected by one of the windows, and the oil-painting/by B. JjN. Leader entitled “Southward from Surrey’s Pleasant Hills” stolen; value, £SOO. The painting is 5 ft. by 4 ft.,/and was taken out of the frame. The President of the Academy has guaranteed /he above reward for information leading to thenouyiption oi the offender or offenders. / .

Identifiable.
Westport. Between 19th and 21st ultimo, from the stable of the Railway Hotel, at Sergeant’s Hill, the property of LLEWELLYN WIN, farmer, a heavy colonial saddle, steel tree, leather girth with double buckles, newly lined, “E. White, Nelson,” branded on flap ; value, £7. Identifiable.
Dunedin. — 24th February last, from the Coffee Palace, Moray Place, the property of ISABEL LINTON, waitress, a long 15 ct. gold muff-chain, one long link and several small ones; a very old uncommon ladies’ silver keyless hunting-watch, glass broken, value £l2 ; and a plain brownleather purse, value 2s. 6d., containing two sovereigns. Identifiable, except money.
Roslyn (Dunemn). —22nd ultimo, from the Town Belt, the property 9f^WR , well worn, No. 349338, and a long steel wajfch : chajn ; £2. Identifiable. Suspicion attafchatj tfc^in^FoonJ age sixty-three, height sft. 4in., hawker, nainveql Ghiaay-gfßy hair, olive complexion, brown eyes, sqjiat hose. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 44.)
Dunedin. —16th ultimo, from the dwelling of SYDNEY GEORGE STYCHE, clerk, a ladies’ gold dress ring, set with five diamonds, value £l2 (identification doubtful) ; and a ladies’ cameo ring, with woman’s head, pink shade, value £2 (identifiable).
