APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland. — Edward Lynskey, disobeying an order /of, the Court, has been arrested by Constable Clarkson and McLeod, Rakaia and Christchurch police, on information supplied by Constable McClinchy, Waimate police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette , 1909, page 475.)

New Plymouth.— Frederick Lindsay Backhouse, /\ forgery, has been arrested by Detective J. Cassells, WelC. dington police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 68.) Levin. Charles Yalentine Kear and George Macki, absconders from industrial school, have been PJ arrested by Constable D. Shaw, Otaki police, and returned V-—to the Weraroa. Training Farm. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 118.) William F. Connell, Albert H. French, and David Dillon, absentees from H.M S. “ Powerful ” : The arrest of these men is not now desired, as no one on the ship can identify them. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 91.) Wellington.— Albert Charles Hill, deserting H.M.S. “ Challenger,” has been arrested bv Constable H. W. Glynn, O Mount Cook police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, pages 50 and ' k -'"59.)

Brunnerton.- Thomas Moore, default of fine and p costs for using obscene language: Warrant executed by if - F. Sweeney, Granity police, and amount paid. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 106.)

Woolston.— Andrew Wilson, theft, has been arrested a by Acting-Detectives Gibson and Ward, Christchurch police, v -and sentenced to fourteen days. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 94.)
