Auckland. —Between 24th and 28th ultimo, from a boatshed at St. George’s Bay, the property of HAROLD E. SPEIGHT, clerk, a gentlemen’s silver hunting Waltham watch, “H. E. S. ” on sheild on front case; and a ladies’ long gold muff-chain, very fine links, has part of a broken swivel attached: value, £5. Identifiable. Breaking and entering.

Auckland. —Between 20th and 23rd ultimo, from the dwelling of MARGARET CULLEN, a ladies’ gold ring, with greenstone in centre, fern-leaf engraved on each side of stone; a 9 ct. gold band ring, “M. K. M.” engraved on back ; also stolen, in September last, a gold oval-shaped brooch, with “P. M.” in gold on front: total value, £5 10s.

Auckland.— About 7th ultimo, from an enclosure in the Avondale Racecourse, the property of EDWARD SHARMAN, surgeon, a well-bred mare by Menchikoff, broken to saddle and harness, white star on forehead, two white hind fetlocks ; value, £35. Being a racing - mare she may be run at country meetings.

Ponsonby.— 3rd instant, from the bedroom of FRANK SWIFT, grocer, £7O in gold and bank-notes ; a crossed cheque for £3 Bs. 3d. drawn by Morton and Ainsworth in favour of F. Swift; about three pounds’ worth of postal notes, one for 25., No. 285463, stamped “ Ellerslie,” and dated “17/12/09.”

Tokomaru Bay. —Between 19th and 22nd ultimo, from the tent of JOHN H. NOLAN, labourer, Waima, a gentlemen’s 18 ct. gold ring, with sapphire in claw setting (a very large ring), value about £5 ss. (identifiable); and a half-sovereign and 10s. in silver. Suspicion attached to Bert Farmer and A. Cameron. First: Age about twenty-six, height sft. 7in., labourer, native of New Zealand, fair hair, fair freckled complexion, very small fair moustache ; dressed in dark suit and soft grey-felt hat. Second : Age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 6 in. or 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, fair hair; dressed in dark clothes. They are supposed to have gone to Gisborne.

"Napier. —24th ultimo, from a bedroom at the Provincial Hotel, the property of NORAH THERESA HOLDER, an 18 ct. gold ring, set with a cluster of diamonds, an emerald in centre, value £10; an 18 ct. gold ring, set with four rubies and diamond sparks, value £5 ; an 18 ct. gold ring, set with three diamonds, value £7; a plain band ring, value £2; and a gold curb chain bangle, with padlock, value £2. Identifiable. ,

Dannevirke. —Between 26th and 29th November last, from a paddock on the Oringi Station, the property of HENRY GAISFORD, seven Shorthorn cows, mixed colours, ages ranging from four to eight years, some may be in calf, saddle-brand on near side behind shoulder, back quarter out of right ear, and fore bit out of left ear, in good condition ; value, £6 each. Identifiable.

Pahiatua.— 29th or 30th ultimo, from the Olympic Theatre, the property of EDMUND MONTGOMERY, Theatrical Travelling Company, a cinematograph, about 18in. long, 9 in. wide, 9 in. high, maker’s name “ Gaumont ” on it; two lenses; a brass lime-light jet, about 12 in. long, 6 in. wide, and 9 in. high: value, £Bl. Identifiable.

Feilding.—2sth ultimo, from the back of his premises, the property of WALTER COPLEY, dealer, a set of Eng-lish-made gig-harness, tugs are odd (one has two leather keepers, and one a long buckle only on trace-hames), holes in crupper (uneven through being cut with a knife); value, Idratmable - p. Upper Hutt. —Between the 14th and 27th November last, from the whare of THOMAS WILLIAM BONTHORNE, Trentham, a small black Japanese box, containing a gold bar brooch, set with three moonstones in centre ; a pair of blue blankets ; a patch-work quilt, black on one side and various colours on the other; a Kaiapoi rug, one side fawn colour, the other side check-pattern, a large tear about half way up the rug (repaired); and a claw-hammer : value, £5. Petone. 23rd ultimo, the property of EDWIN MCINTOSH, labourer, a dark-bay pony mare, 14J hands high, scar on nose 6 in. from tip, mane has been cut, and is now about 6 in. long ; value, £l2. Identifiable.
