PERSONS WANTED.

Auckland. —14th October last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three days in default of paying £1 10s. fine and costs for being found on licensed premises whilst prohibited, Alfred John Kelly, age thirty-one. height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, frt-sh complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, dirty appearance ; foud of drink; one arm missing. Auckland. —4th instant, on warrant for obtaining £2 14s. from George Hyde, licensee Carpenters’ Arms Hotel, by means of valueless cheque, George Martin, age forty-three, height 5 ft. ljin., labourer and flax-mill hand, native of Switzerland, medium build, fresh complexion, hazel eyes, black hair turning grey. The blank cheque was stolen from Joseph Donovan’s book, where accused was boarding. He is probably identical with George Martin, alias Sequin, alias Deveries, alias Frank Knudden. Te Awamutu.— Bth October last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for one month in default of paying £3 9s. 3d., flue and costs, Hugh Sullivan, alias O’Keefe, age thirty-six, height 6 ft., farm labourer and carter, native of Ireland, medium active build, fresh complexion, clean-shaved, dark hair, curl on forehead, grey eyes; fond of drink, and quarrelsome ; dressed in dark tweed suit and cap. He was last heard of at Blenheim, about two months ago.

Wellington. —l6th instant, that she may be compelled to obey a maintenance order for ss. a week for the support of her child in St. Marv’s Industrial School, Winnie Taylor, age thirty, height 5 ft., housemaid and barmaid, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, sharp nose. Mount Cook (Wellington).— st;h instant, on warrant for sly-grog selling, Charles William Nicholson, age forty-five, height 5 ft. 6in., labourer and seaman, native of England, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair (thin in front) sturdy build, brown moustache only ; dressed in dark sac suit; dirty appearance, and addicted to drink. He may be found at some of the seaports working about the boats.

Christchurch. — 12th instant, on warrant for theft of a silver hunting lover watch (recovered), the property of Andrew Park, labourer, F. Yernon (name supposed fictitious), age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, supposed colonial, medium build, ruddy complexion, brown hair, small brown moustache only ; dressed in old dark coat and vast, light trousers, and soft-felt hat. The watch was sold to a second-hand dealer for 6s. 6d. by offender.
