APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland. — Edward John Shepherd, default of fine and costs. Warrant executed by Constable Gillespie, Auckland police, and amount paid. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 475.)

Auckland. —John Harris, default of fine and costs warrant executed and amount paid. (See Police Gazette, 1909, pages 443 and 475.)

Auckland.— Ralph Bernard Snowden, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount due to Constable Lowry, Morrinsville police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 485.)

Auckland.— Christopher Maher, disobeying an order of the Court for the maintenance of his child. Warrant executed by Constable Douglas, Hikurangi police, and amount of arrears paid. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 485.)

Auckland.- William Rudolph, alias Pereua Ruru, false pretences, has been arrested by Constable R. P. Boag, Whangarei police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 507.)

Whangarei. — James Smyth, failing to provide for his illegitimate child, has been arrested by Constable R. P. Boag, Whangarei polioe. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 423.)

Hastings. — L. Witten, theft, has been arrested by Constable Hefferman, Waipukurau police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 468.)

Palmerston North. — Percy Somers has been found by Constable W. Kelly, Wanganui police, and has promised to write to bis friends. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 215.)

Lower Hutt. — Walter Hasler, theft,.has been arrested by Constable Riordan, Wanganui East police, on information supplied by Detective Cassells, Wellington police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 192.)

Wellington. — Dias De Silva, theft, has been arrested by Constable D. O’Neill, New Plymouth police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 495.)

Wellington. — William Hedges, failing to provide, has been located at the Lower Hutt by Constable Anderson, and served with a summons. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 486.)

Wellington. — Charles Maloney, default of maintenance, is at present working at Whakatane. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 486.)

Wellington. — Ronald Owen, failing to provide, has been arrested by Sergeant Gruickshank, Dannevirke police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 386.)

Greymouth. — Donald Owen, default of fine and costs for a breach of prohibition order (see Police Gazette, 1909, page 280), is identical with Frank Walter, alias Leigh, alias Langley, alias Laurenson, alias Corbett, alias Brooks, at present serving a sentence of twelve months for forgery and uttering and false pretences at Naseby. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 265; 1907, page 116 ; and 1909, pages 322, 456, and 508.)

Christchurch. — John McGregor, forging and uttering, has been arrested by Detective Miller and Acting-Deteotive Powell, and sentenced to three years, and declared to be an habitual criminal. (See Police Gazette 1908, page 189.) Offender is identical with John Broadribb Cook, alias Parkinson, &c. (See Police Gazette, 1907, pages 118, 146, 243, and 252, and 1909, page 280.)

Christchurch. — George Cameron, false pretences, has been arrested by Dective Miller and Acting-Detective Powell, and declared to be an habitual criminal. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 326.) Offender is identical with John Broadribb Cook, alias Parkinson, &c. (See preceding paragraph.)

Lyttelton. William Nicholson Stuart Ross, absentee from H.M.S. “ Pioneer,” has been arrested by Acting-Detective Ward, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 509.)

Dunedin.— Joseph McDermitt, failing to provide, has been located by the Roslyn police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 434.)

Riverton. — Thomas Henderson, theft from James Lockett, has been arrested by the Kurow police on another charge of theft at Parley. It was ascertained by Constable McGregor, Oamaru police, that he was identical with offender wanted for offences at Riverton and Invercargill. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 372.)

Invercargill. — Thomas Henderson, default of fine for theft, has been arrested by the Kurow police, and sentenced to one month in Dunedin Prison. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 364, and preceding paragraph.)
