(From Gazette, 1909, page 1783.) Police Gaol 'proclaimed. (L.s.) PLUNKET, Governor. A PROCLAMATION. WHEREAS by “The Prisons Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation, declare that such police-stations as he shall name therein shall be police-gaols:

And whereas it is desirable to proclaim the police-station situated in Churton Street, at Wanganui, to be a policegaol : Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the gazetting of this Proclamation, the police-station situated in Churton Street, at Wanganui, shall be a policegaol. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander -in - Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine. Proclaiming Prison closed

(1.5.) PLUNKET, Governor. A PROCLAMATION. TT'T'HEREAS by “ The Prisons Act, 1908,” it is enacted VV that the Governor may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any prison shall no longer be a prison, and npon the gazetting of such Proclamation, or from and after any later date fixed therein, such prison shall cease to be a prison : Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the gazetting of this Proclamation, the prison at Wanganui shall cease to be a prison. Bharal or Burrhel Sheep to be deemed Imported Game. PLUNKET, Governor. By his Deputy, JAMES PRENDERGAST. IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “ The Animals Protection Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the date hereof, Bharal or Burrhel sheep (Ovis natura) shall come within the operation of the said Act as fully and effectually as if they had been included in the Second Schedule thereto. As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nine. D. BUDDO, Minister of Internal Affairs.
