APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland. —Joseph Patrick Kelly, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Constable T. Condon, Newton police, and lodged in Auckland Prison. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 63.)

Hamilton. Thomas O’Brien, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by Constable S. Thompson, Dargaville police, for breaking and entering and theft at Kaihu, and sentenced to two years’ imprisonment at the Supreme Court, Auckland. (See Police Gazette, 1908, pages 97 and 491.) Offender admits identity with Thomas Melville, alias Grogan. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 355.) He denies being identical with Thomas Grogan, alias O’Brien. (See Police Gazette, 1908, pages 161 and 180.)

Napier. —Ernest Patterson Aitken, wife-desertion Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 87.)

Wanganui.— Thomas Hammond, forgery, has been arrested by Acting-Detective R. J. Issell, Auckland police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 27.)

Eaetihi. Thomas Melville, alias Grogan, alias O’Brien, default of fine and costs for obscene language and being drunk and disorderly, has been arrested by Constable S. Thompson, Dargaville police, for breaking and entering, and sentenced to two years. (S qq Police Gazette, 1907, page 355, and 1908, pages 97 and 491.)

Otaki. — Frank Ackermann, obscene language, has been arrested by Detective D. Connolly, Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 2.)

Wellington.— Burnet McDonald, being absent without leave from s.s. “ Turakina ” : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 71.)

Wellington.— Frank Kronst, default of maintenance, has been arrested at Wanganui by Detective Quirke, Palmerston North police. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 325.)

Wellington.— May Hallett, alias Curtain, false pretences, has been arrested by Sergeant W. Smart and Constable G. Murray, Hastings police, and committed for trial. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 36.)

Christchurch. —Alexander Capill, disobeying order of the Court, has been arrested by Constable J. E. Hitchcock, Taihape police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 492.)

England. — Thomas Conway has been found working on the railway-line by Sergeant H. Beattie, Taihape police, and has promised to write to his wife. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 81.) (08/2429.)
